“Very good vegetarian food and great juices”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 7, 2012

I've been here several times with both vegetarians and non-vegetarians and they all love it.

Apart from a couple of overpriced, somewhat bland mushroom dishes and the disappointing jiaozi (Chinese dumplings), every dish we've ever had has been excellent. I especially recommend the sweet and sour fake meat and the creative juice mixtures.

You can even have the kitchen staff vary the taste of dishes to suit your preferences.

There's a friendly atmosphere, with people sometimes recommending dishes to strangers at other tables.

One word of warning though: it's very popular, so arrive early or be prepared to queue for up to half an hour.

“One of the best”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 20, 2012

One of the best Vegetarian Restaurants in the city, tasty food at reasonable prices. Lots of lovely fake meat dishes. To any vegetarian who doesn't want fake meat - Stop being so narrow-minded! Fake meat is a thousand-year-old tradition in China - dating back to when early Buddhist missionaries needed a way to ween novice monks from the desire to eat meat. Set aside your silly Western prejudices and just enjoy the delicious taste.

“Finally, a decent vegetarian restaurant in China”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 28, 2012

In a country where eating meat is the symbolic of wealth, China is a literally a hell for vegetarian. So my family and I were so happy to get to know this place after days of struggling with what to eat.

We had spring roll, salt spicy lotus root and tomato mushroom soup. They are all delicious. Not too oily, taste just right. The lotus root is especially appertising, goes well with rice. The choice in the menu is quite extensive, there are definately more interesting dishes to try. And the price is not too expensive.

The place is clean and decor is nice and classy, making it suitable for formal gathering or business meal. Recommended even your are not vegetarian, worth to give it a try.

“Absolutely fabulous”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2011

Visited two of their branches, in May and October. I love chinese food and would go here first the next I am in Shanghai. The money is huge, so you can eat here forever and still experience something new. The variety of mushrooms that are cooked in 101 ways, exquisite flavours and wonderful presentation make the experience of eating here complete. Great eye for detail and easy for non-chinese speaking visitors. Can't wait to go back!
