Really nice restaurant with polite staff.
The food is very good and I would recommend to try it if you get the chance.

“Great night in shanghai”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 20, 2012 via mobile

This is my second visit here, and I hope not the last, a great bar area downstairs for a per dinner cocktail, and then menus is just so varied and not too spicy, just right and the prices is very reasonable, great for a party of four or six to share dishes

“make sure you reserve - its worth the effort!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 18, 2012

So I was recomended Lost Heaven by a friend who lives in China and I wasnt disappointed. It is not a 'local' restaurant, in the sense that most of the clientele were younger, urban and mixetures of chinese and expat/european. So its not somewhere to go for a local chinese experience. The food however is fantastic - its from the Yunnan region which is different to Cantonese cooking. I loved it! Delicious chicken curry and and rice dished. The food was really generous and tasty. The prices are reasonable for anyone who has travelled or lived in Europe or Australia - we paid about £25/head including a cocktail each. My friend was not happy with his cocktail, but the ret of us loved ours. The ambiance of the restaurant is nice - again very dim lighting (Im not a fan, if youve read my other reviews!) and very crowded. We were fortunate to have a table at the corner of the room, so it was okay. But it was noisy and crowded. But the service was lovely (lovely outfits work by the staff), the food outstanding and the price was excellent. Given this was a Friday night, we weren't surprised at the crowds, and were impressed at the consistent service. Nothing was wrong/late/cold/missing. I have heard they have a branch now in Beijing. Def worth stopping by if you want to have some good chinese food thats tourist/foreigner friendly, in a good way.

“Something different.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 16, 2012

Tucked in the trendy area of the French Concession, there is a friendly vibe here. This beautiful restaurant serves western Chinese (Yunnan) dishes, cooked to perfection. Try as many different dishes as you can, they're all terrific.

“LOVE”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 14, 2012

This is hands down my favorite place in Shanghai. The Tea Leaf Salad is amazing, so is everything else. The food is spicy, but not everything. Try a lot of different foods, but don't miss the Tea Leaf Salad!!!
