In Shanghai, there is only one place necessary to go for 小笼包 (Xiao long bao), Din Tai Fung! These soup filled dumplings are heaven sent and a must try on a visit to Shanghai. Not going to get into the fact that it is a Taiwanese restaurant and so on, this place is simply the best.
Great place to have dumplings, they are made fresh and you can see that... and taste that. The dumplings are very tasteful and it's worth the wait, because it's always busy. Also nice side dishes; like noodles...
Visited with four work colleagues on a Friday night. Service was excellent and the food was great. I think that all of the dishes that we had were enjoyed by all. Everyone enjoyed themselves.
I would certainly return on my next visit to Shanghai.
I did not make comment on this chain but simply the best and did not lose anything from taste, quality, effiency and etc. Highly recommended for everybody. Busy at all times but really deserves to wait while looking at the tasty menu and also transperent kitchen.
Very tasty soup dumplings. We often eat at the branch in California and were delighted but not surprised to find more variety here.
