“Real german restaurant and good price in Xintiandi”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 14, 2013 via mobile

The Paulaner keeps the spirit of a german breweery, with wood panels and nice decoration. Separate areas for no-smokers. But the meal offer is a little short. Nice service and price average for Shanghai but cheap in Xintiandi. Also a terrace, but it is in front of a pedestrian square that usually is crowded and can be nioisy and uncomfortable. A place to come back.

“Good German food but overcrowded”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 2, 2013

It always packed with people on weekends, crazy to watch how many people come and go, and it's not cheap! I came here a few times for their food, always good, and fun to watch people nearby because it was quite chaos.

“Hhhmmmmm gooood!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 27, 2013

Very good Resstaurant with excellent food and they have real german beer. The service is also very good and friendly. We had the "Schnitzel" and "Goulasch" and it was superb. We were in the Restaurant which is located in the french quarter. Very nice to walk there, with lots of restaurants.

“German beer house. That is all”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 21, 2013

Typical Paulaner beers as expected. I didn't try any food but looked to be familiar items to a German establishment (although in China). This place is always crowded with live entertainment most nights. Watch out for prostitution-it is obvious!
