Stayed here for two nights @ RMB 313 per night in September 2012. The reason I chose this hotel was because of it's location - it is within walking distance to the Grand Hyatt where I was to attend a conference. As it turned out the location was about the only thing positive about this stay.
I was expecting the hotel and room to be similar to the Japanese Toyoko-Inn chain that I use frequently - small but clean and functional. Well I was right about the "small" part. I was given a "Business Room" on the 6th floor. Upon opening the door an inadequately lit room with not too charming green walls appeared. It was a bi-level one with the bed on the upper level.
My feeling was that it must be some 10 years ago the last time they cleaned the room; and my suspicious was more or less confirmed by the fact that the bottom of my feet turned grayish black after making the small trip from the bathroom up to the bed after shower. The very noisy split type air-con also had about half a centimeter of dust on its filters - as if they did not know these things need to be cleaned more than once in a decade.
All thought the evening small cards suggesting one to call for an "unforgettable evening" appeared from under the door. If they are anywhere as persistent in up-keeping the rooms, guests might have a slightly better staying experience.
