This hotel was booked by friend for our visit to Shanghai to see the Expo and visit friends. We stayed there for 3 nights. The rooms are not cleaned in time. The most terrible experience is for the last night. Our little daughter (8 years) stayed together with her older sister (15 years) in room 2252. When she got up in the night to use the washroom, she locked the door and could not open it any more. The lock is broken and refused to open. So she was locked in the washroom alone! She tried to bang the door to wake her sister up. But she was too tired after a long day lined up in the World Expo. So my poor little girl had to stay in the damp, cold washroom for a whole night. No one knows how long she stayed there. At around 7:30 AM her older sister tried to use the washroom and found her locked inside. We called the front desk. The service man came in, opened the door with a screwdriver. The hotel service people put the blame on my daughter for not properly using the lock, even after I show him the rust, loose lock nail. The hotel manager responded to the problem very slow and reluctant to admit the equipment problem. The kid was very scared and got sick after staying in the washroom for night. We are considering suing the hotel for the nightmare experience with it.
