if any one out there is prone to addictions then you'd better stay away from here.
this is the home of the best pork dumplings in town. big and juicy and tender. pop one open in your mouth and you may never ever return, lost in the warm liquid and the overwhelming flavour. and definitately stay away from the fried garlic and beef. people have been known to lose their footing over it. nicely quartered generous portion of tasty grilled beef along with crispy fried garlic is too die for, the cold cucumber knocks everyone out who has it, cold, fresh and crisp with just the right amount of ginger and vinegar sauce.ohhhhh. ohhhhh. hold me back,
then there's the grilled fish and the sweet and sour fish, the cripsy chicken and the chicken wih red peppers and the olive and pork rice and the great range of noodles, perfect for a cold, rainy october or november day or a first snowfall and, and, and, well just about everything.........
i love the big table, sitting next to strangers in a really warm and special environment, well lit, and as you may tell i have been going there for years and the service is amongst the best in town, lots of pleasant staff, extremely well trained, keeping things moving without you feeling watched or invaded.
the staff turnover is very low and you will see they promote vertically within. another signal in its dependability and constancy.
and there is aways Nancy.
Nancy is the real jewel at the Crystal Jade.
she is the place.
welcoming and respectful and does she have a meomry, never forets a facem a name and what you like to order.
p.s. i agree the smoking section is a turnoff and you might need a reservation at all times now.
