“loved it”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 17, 2012

just returned from 8 nights with wife and 2 kids. The arrival by boat was perfect, crystal clear water and welcome singing. Max "relax" signed us in and we got busy doing nothing. We loved teh snorkelling, pool area (kids would not leave), beach, cava, hammocks, turtles, iguanas, kids club, fishing, mini golf and of course the staff and peaceful homely feel. Special mention to nemo, lui, bola, tui, sala etc. The entertainment was infectious especially the seagull dance and the band were excellent.
The food and drinks were good - drinks quite reasonable but I think I may have been double charged on a few occassions, so I'd check the tab every few days next time to keep on top of things as there were a few mistakes in there. I was charged for someone else's lunch which was promptly removed from the tab when pointed out.
The bures were surprisingly spacious and more than enough for 2 A 2 kids - nicely decorated and everything worked (but a broom and bottle opener would be useful). The outlook was great (bure 60), with hammocks out in front.
All in all a great trip. Yes there are a few rough edges but dont listen to the bad reviews as you have everything you need for an awesome time - the place had a great homely vibe and this extended to other guests who for the most part got into the spirit of things.
I'll be back.

My boyfriend and I have just returned from 6 days on Treasure Island and words cannot express the time that we had. Before we set foot on the island we were treated to a welcoming ceremony on the beach by the resort staff. We felt like we had just arrived home. The people were the friendliest we have ever met and would consistently go out of their way to make your stay as memorable as possible. There was a wide variety of great tasting food on offer and just as many cocktails and drinks to wash it down with. The entertainment provided daily was amazing and gave us an insight into the Fijian history and culture. Highly recommend participating in the Kava ceremony which the staff hold in high respect. Boredom is never an option as there are many activities to choose from throughout the day to keep you entertained from cultural activities to water sports. As the Fijians are very much into their rugby you may be lucky enough to experience a game of touch rugby on the beach with the staff. For those of you who may have young children the island also caters for their needs by keeping them entertained throughout the day with and exceptionally well run Kids Club. All the Bures (beach houses) overlook the beaches with the crystal clear turquoise waters and contain all the facilities to make your stay a comfortable one. During the day there are multiple hammocks and shaded beach lounges to relax on.
Vinaka Vakalevu (thank you very much) for reading our review and we hope to see you on Treasure Island on our next visit.

Room Tip: Bures on the western side of the island have better views.

We have just returned from Treasure Island. A great place for a family holiday mainly for kids 2 to 8.
We had our 6 & 4 year old who cried when they left.
- Very good rooms, cleaned everyday.
- Awesome staff
- Great pool.
- We met some wonderful families who made our stay great fun
- Good kids club with variety each day for all ages.
- We got helicopter out and back that gave us an extra 8 hours on the island.

Food was average but what we expected.
Nails coming out of deck very unsafe with many kids hurting their feet.

Awesome staff.
See you all there next year

My wonderful friend and I have just returned home after staying 8 nights in beachfront bure 8 on Treasure Island. It was my second time here and my friends first.
This Island is a piece of paradise and everyone that works there are the most amazing, friendly and kindest people you would ever meet in the whole world.
There is heaps to do if you want to or you can just chill out in a quiet spot some where and just soak it all up.
We had a cooking lesson, went fishing, learnt all about coconuts, traditional fijian medicine and basket weaving and Nemo showed us how to make some really good cocktails.
The girls in the day spa were lovely as well, we spoilt ourselves and had a facial which was just the best.
The food was really good and the service was perfect, they all work very hard to make everything so nice for you and always with lots of smiles.
The band and the singing is just awsome. Our favorite thing of a night was to watch everyone enjoying themselves so much.
Snorkling was great and the beach was beautiful.
We loved being on Treasure Island and it was sad to leave this beautiful place and our special fijian friends that we made but we will be back again for sure. Vanaka

We have just return from Treasure Island and our visit was amazing.
Its not a 5 star resort but it gives you the best Fijian experience you would ever have or want. The place is a little bit of paradise.
There is always something to do if you want there is activites everyday or you can just sit back in the hammock and relax.
The staff are always smiling no wonder working on this beauitful island, nothing is to much trouble if you need something. They endeavour to cater for all you needs including dietery requirements etc.
This was a holiday that I will remember and I will go back.

Room Tip: They are all sea facing so everyone has a view.

We (my husband and I) have just returned from our second visit to Treasure Island, our fist visit being last year.

If you are looking for a 5 star experience, you won't find it here, if you are looking for all the mod cons, you won't find it here, BUT if you are looking for a Fijian experience look no further. In our experience the Fijian people are who make Treasure Island, their infectious smiles and happy disposition make this destination a holiday to remember.

From the time you step onto the coral sand you feel like you are in a small part of paradise.

If you are a little board there are a variety of activites to keep you busy, like snorkeling, parasailing, fishing, canoeing etc. or you can take in a culture lesson, cooking lesson or maybe a hat making lesson but if you are just looking for a place to relax and do nothing then this is also the place to be. You can take a leisurely stroll around the island, take a dip in the warm tropical waters or lay in your own bure's hammock that is a sure bet to put you to sleep, what ever your desire it is all there for you.

If you have any problems, then don't winge about it, tell them and they will endeavour to have it fixed, these people are there to please and want for you to have the best possible holiday that you can have.

We would thoroughly recommend Treasure Island to anyone. It caters for young families through to the more senior visitors.

A holiday to remember

My Partner and I have just returned from Treasure Island. The place was amazing, perfect weather, prefect staff. But the food was not to our liking. We found the food was bland, lacking variety, no seasoning and very undercooked. We saw more food go back than being consumed. The chief had no idea what he was doing and we were very disappointed. Saying that the staff was amazing. You wouldnt find nicer people anywhere in the world in our opinion. Would we go back? We would go back for a day trip to see Jim, Nemo and the most amazing staff on the planet, but I don’t think we would stay at that particular island.

Bula Dwayne R,

You'll be glad to know that we are in the midst of confirming a new chef. We have been lucky enough to have a world travelled chef helping us out during July and he'll come back for a few weeks in September ahead of our permanent chef who we anticipate his arrival in late September.

If you come back to see Jim and Nemo I hope you will be excited enough to reconsider and stay again as re revitalise the food at Treasure.

Vinaka,

Scott
