“Beautiful place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 19, 2013

Just returned from a beautiful 2 week trip to Fiji, spending a week at lomani resort. I must say it was spectacular. The resort ad the staff were wonderful and couldn't do enough for us. Special mention to Jonathan who was awesome and so sweet, as of course are all the staff. Any negative review are seriously just from very narrow minded people as there was nothing to complain about. Food was awesome and the rooms huge and by clean. I especially loved the fact that breakfast is ordered and served hot, not sat in trays for hours
Thanks to lomani for a great stay xxxx

Excellent staff. Great food (highly recommend meal plan). Perfect location. Great free activities everyday. Perfect for couples. They do your washing daily. Hard drive full of movies (great to pass time when it rained) Even little things like aeroguard is available everywhere!! The gym is the only thing I would rate as very poor (moldy, or out of order. Horrible)
Now the longer story. After a horrible Thai honeymoon, we wanted a good beach and good food, somewhere we could relax and not have people pestering us or a foul stench once you left your resort! We chose Lomani after reading all the great reviews, and we were not disappointed.
On the day we arrived we had to be moved to musket cove resort as our room was flooded, a bit disappointing but we were promised an upgrade the last 4 nights. We could only get a delux suite for the week we wanted to book, which was still very very nice. However, if you can get one, the beach front bure would definately be worth the extra money.
Although from Sydney it does take a whole day travel to and from there, it is defiantly worth it.
This holiday will not disappoint

Room Tip: Beach front bure is REALLY worth it. Although our first night in a delux was perfectly fine

I stayed at Lomani Island resort in January of 2012. Although it was a year ago I feel compelled to write a positive review after reading a few of the negative reviews.
When I stepped foot on Lomani, I had never seen a more beautiful place in my life. Let me start by saying that the greeting we received was simply beautiful, warm and so welcoming. A great first impression.

Resort Grounds: The grounds of Lomani are kept immaculate by the gardeners, the lawn is soft on your feet like a big shag rug. A pleasure to walk on barefoot. The water is that amazing blue you see in postcards. I couldn't believe my eyes. Hammocks and hanging chairs scattered around the place, there was always one free to lay in.
Being an adults only resort was so relaxing. As much as I like kids it was nice to lay by the pool with no screaming or splashing. Speaking of pools, it was lovely and was so nice to swim and look out to the ocean. They also didn't mind if we took our drinks and sat on the steps in the pool.

Rooms:
I was with a group and we occupied 3 of the deluxe suites. They were fantastic. My room was one on the ground floor at the end closest to the restaurant. In my opinion slightly better that the other rooms as it has windows down the side which allow more breezes. Apart from that all the rooms were great, clean and reasonably priced. I didn't feel at all jealous of the bures as these rooms had a wonderful view too. Comfortable lounges to curl up and read a book.
Bathroom was good and private. Although there was a case of a blocked toilet in my friends room which the staff addressed immediately.

Staff:
The staff at Lomani really made the holiday as I'm sure most people will agree. I'm not sure if the same staff are there now but the staff from early 2012 were fantastic, entertaining and bent over backwards with any queries. I can't thank them enough for adding to our holiday.
Mesu and his music were a highlight each night as we ate dinner. We loved how all the staff would join in from time to time on one their favourite songs. Jonavan was a real character and should be commended for his hospitality. As it has been so long I can't remember any other names but they were all fantastic.
The song when we were leaving was enough to bring anyone to tears, it was hard to say goodbye and by the end you really did feel like you were leaving behind new friends. I am still in touch with a few on Facebook!!

Activities: Snorkelling was AMAZING! Check out some of my photos. I couldn't have dreamed of a better snorkelling experience and every snorkelling trip I have taken since fades in comparison. Take every opportunity to go snorkelling. We also took the catamoran out, which was fantastic when we could get enough wind in the sail!

Food: The food was lovely, however I will say that after a week (I was there for almost 2 weeks) I did start to tire of the menu a little as I had tried most of it but it was all still very tasty and the quality was great. The fruit cocktails are delicious, those I didn't tire of.

Massage:
Definitely worth getting a massage. It was amazing!

Overall I think this is a great resort. Even though it's mostly aimed at couples, it's great for a group of couples too. I was just looking in to booking another trip in September for my 30th but the deluxe rooms are booked out already so I guess I wasn't quick enough!

Room Tip: If choosing the deluxe suite, the one on the ground floor at the end closest to the restaurant is go...

We stayed at Lomani from 25/2/13-2/3/13. The staff were gorgeous, the surrounds spectacular and the food delicious! Meal plan was a good investment as food was expensive but amazing. Were given a free upgrade on our 3rd day to a beachfront bure- completed unexpected and wonderful!

The daily activities like snorkeling, coconut demonstrations, fishing, dolphin safari, kava ceremony, lovo preparations and shell markets are all free!

Dinner on the beach is a must- as well as cocktails by the infinity pool- amazing trip- we will definitely be back! Thanks lomani!

My partner and I spent a week in a beach bure at Lomani in November. It would have to be one of the best holidays we have had and we have been to many parts of the world. The staff are just wonderful. We felt completely at home from the moment we were welcomed at the front door. Even though the resort was full it felt like we were there on our own. The food was just great and I recommend purchasing a food package. We will definitely be back as soon as we can.

Thanks to all of the staff at Lomani for a truely memorable holiday.

Room Tip: The beach bure's are the best

I returned from Lomani last week, my boyfriend and I stayed for 8 nights and had an absolutely wonderful holiday. We can't speak highly enough of all the staff, they are friendly, accommodating and you can share jokes with them too. We loved being serenaded by the boys in the flame tree restaurant every night, you guys are awesome!

We stayed in deluxe suite number 1 as we were trying to cut down costs, and it was absolutely wonderful. Clean, spacious, four poster bed, stunning view, air con... Nothing to complain about! I am sure the bures are lovely if you can afford the extra cost but we were not at all disappointed.

We made the most of the activities and went snorkelling almost every day which was fab. Peceli took us to different spots so we really felt we had seen the surrounding islands too and weren't just stuck in one place. Fish feeding is a must! Got lucky and saw a huge pod if dolphins too. Unfortunately didn't catch anything hand line fishing but it was a sociable and fun way to spend the afternoon. The wind was low until our last day when managed to take out the hobie cat and windsurfers which was great fun. Bear in mind if you are really into water sports the equipment is fairly old and is really for messing around in than serious sailing, did the job though! Same goes for the bikes which were fun to ride around the island to get to the view points but have one gear only and don't have proper brakes! We walked around the island one day which takes about 3 hours and it was absolutely stunning. I would recommend it to anyone who goes. Take hats, sunscreen and plenty of water though. We saw about 3 local people on our way round between the resorts, other than that completely deserted beaches for us to enjoy.

The pool was unfortunately out of order during our stay due to urgent maintenance work needed. It was a shame not to have the facility but the sea is just beautiful and the staff went out of their way and beyond to make up for it. They gave each couple a bottle of bubbly and put on extra complimentary boat trips every day whilst it was shut including a sunset cruise which was gorgeous. This is the sort of 5 star customer service that we experienced during our entire time at lomani.

Food and drink wise we got the kana Levu meal deal which was exceptional value for us as we were staying for 8 nights. I would certainly recommend it if you are watching your costs. The food isn't 5 star but yummy all the same with daily specials to try. I was impressed with the quality of their steak.

I can't say enough good things about this place. When I read the reviews saying people cried when they left I thought they had to be joking... Until I sobbed throughout the singing of our farewell song! Our beautiful manageress even wiped my tears with a tissue for me, if that isn't service I don't know what is!

Vinaka to everyone who is a part of the Lomani experience, we will never forget our stay with you.

Room Tip: Out deluxe suite number 1 was perfect for us, a slightly cheaper option but spacious, AC, stunning v...

My partner and I stayed here for a week in January. It was the best holiday we've ever had. No photos can do this place justice, the resort grounds are flawless and everywhere you look it's better than the postcards!

The highlight though is the staff, I don't know where to begin! The wait staff especially were sensational, so professional yet friendly. The reception staff, the room service, the grounds keepers, the day spa girls...EVERYONE went above and beyond and made us feel like we were part of their family. We can't think of even one small complaint about any member of the staff.

Sunset dinner is a must, as is snorkelling on the reef ....aaaaamazing. You get to hand feed the fish - take an underwater camera if you can...it's worth it! I'd also recommend the Shell Village tour. We also did parasailing (leaves from Plantation next door) which was a fantastic experiance. The Wednesday night banquet / kava ceremony was lots of fun & felt like a family dinner.

The bure we stayed in was flawless, huge and luxurious. The outdoor shower was emade the room that bit more special. The cleaners make sure the room is constantly spotless, a nice temperature and has lots of fresh water and little chocolates. There's so many special little touches in the rooms. Don't bother bringing shampoo, conditioners etc...the Pure Fiji brand that the resort provides is lovely.

Special mention to the lovely Elenora in the day spa, ask for her if you get a massage, she's very talented. And listen out for Mesu's amazing singing voice at meal times.

Would 100% recommend this to anybody looking for a relaxing beach holiday, it exceeded every single one of our expectations....we can't wait to get back to Lomani!

Room Tip: We stayed in room 27 - it was the last bure so we had a much bigger section of "private beach&q...
