When we arrived in Prattville, Alabama, I was pleasantly surprised at the amenities this small town has to offer! Prattville is a clean and wholesome community that includes a beautiful city park with special play area for the kids. On special evenings, the park is host to small music festivals. Locals bring picnics and sit on the grass, tables, or tailgates and listen to a variety of music. We took BBQ from the conveniently located Fat Boys, and enjoyed the night. The next day, we rode bikes along country roads and enjoyed the farms, and wildlife we encountered. We thoroughly enjoy the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail that has a course in Prattville. It's one of the best we've played, and we look forward to trying the other 5-6 in the State. All in all, I'd recommend you put this little town on your list of places to go for a low-key weekend trip. Conveniently locaed between Montgomery and Birmingham, it's easily accessed from many locations.
