My family (wife and I, my parents, and our 2 year-old daughter) just returned from a week at the Caribe. We stayed in the D-building in unit PH03 which was a 3-bed 3-bath condo overlooking the bay. We booked our trip at vrbo.com after reading another tripadvisor review from a vacationer who stayed in this unit.

We stayed at the Caribe May 17-24, the last week before peak season begins. This proved to be a great value as it rained only once and the weather was pretty much mid-70s to low 80s all week. It appeared that the whole property was filled to only about 10%-15% capacity. The unit was decorated wonderfully. We did have some minor issues with some lights being burned out, the TV remote not working, and the DVD player in the smaller bedrooms not working either. Most of these were fixed promptly with a phone call to the maintenance folks using the number given to us by the owners. Enough about the unit...this is really a review of the property.
The property has a small indoor heated pool in each of the three buildings (B, C, and D). I know D building also had a hot tub, dry sauna, wet sauna, and workout facility. The indoor pool had a small waterslide that our daughter probably rode around 70 or 80 times. For the most part we had the pool to ourselves.
The largest outdoor pool is on the ground floor and has three tiers. The shallowest tier is zero entry and is great for young kids. We often let our daughter just walk around in this area as it never got deeper than 2-feet deep and we could just keep a constant eye on her. The middle-tier is a bit deeper (maybe 3.5-4 feet). The top tier has 3 waterslides. Two of the slides are together and kids can race each other down. The third slide was even taller (about 20 feet tall?) and was a lot of fun for Dad.
The smaller outdoor pool is on the second level above the parking garage. It's similar to the pool just described, but it's not quite zero entry and there are no slides. There are spitting turtle fountains that my daughter found pretty fun.
Next to this pool is an area that holds the lazy river. This is all built on a boardwalk type structure with woode planks. Anyway, the lazy river is a long narrow "pool" with a one-way current and you can hop in an inner-tube and site back while you float around the lazy river. It's about a 6 minute round trip and it was a lot of fun for both adults and kids. Again, when not crowded it was great. I can imagine it can get pretty crowded during peak times making a relaxing float for adults harder to come by.
The grounds of the resort were very well kept. Each building has 4 elevators to service 14 floors. There is a natrual grass putting green out front with 18 holes scattered about and also an artificial turf putting green near lazy-river pool area.
D-building had a small snack shop that served drinks (alcoholic and non) and snacks. There was a game room open Thurs-Saturday that had a Wii and some other game systems as well. It looked pretty cool and was always busy when I walked by.
The property isn't directly on the beach so there's a shuttle that runs across 182 under Perdido Pass bridge. It's a short shuttle ride and then about a 3-5 min walk to the gulf-front beach. You can just call the shuttle whenever you want and they'll come pick you up (no set schedule or anything, at least not the week we stayed there). The water wasn't very clear due to the weather patterns during our stay and there were some jellyfish so we didn't spend much time at the beach.
Near the beach gazebo area, the resort is constructing a restaurant that will be finished by the end of the year I think.
What else...parking is ample and each unit has a designated parking space (the higher the floor, the closer your space is located to the elevator)
I can't think of too much else. Overall this is a great condo complex / resort for families. There's plenty of activities for everyone in your group and it's especially good for young kids I would say. I'd be more than happy to come back to the Caribe in the future.
