“New favorite place to hang out”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2013 via mobile

I love the structure and the atmosphere here. The area could use more updated spaces like The Gulf.

If you come in on the weekend at night, be prepared to wait. It could be an hour before you get your food. My suggestion is grab a drink enjoy the view and the vibe. Totally worth it!!

“Really Neat Place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2013

Wonderful outside seating area but only when the weather is good. Do not eat red meat but menu limited so had no choice and was surprised as the burger was very good. Line to order waaaaay too long....needs servers taking orders. If you do not mind waiting for your drinks and food you will enjoy this place.

“The Gulf”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2013

Pretty cool place right on Perdido Pass. I enjoyed watching the boats go by. It brought back memories listening to LP albums being played with the static and the needle being placed on the album. We had to wait in line for about 45 minutes. While in line everybody raved about the burgers. The burgers were real good but on the small side for $7.50, and the order of fries was $4.00. (enough for two people) They also have a grouper sandwich for $12.00. We had such a good time on the first visit we went back the next night. Also we met a couple from Atlanta on the first visit while waiting in line, and they were there the next night. The menu is very limited and some will say it is pricey, but hell if the burger is good what else do you need!

“Fun in Da Sun!!!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2013

While on vacation with the wife and son this laborer day weekend we stopped in for lunch and soooo enjoyed our time there. We got there at a good time because a crowd showed up not long after we ordered. Everything about it is unique and they give it a real laid back feel. My wife had there hamburger and looovveed it and I had the fried grouper sandwich and looovveed it. It did look like a place to hang out at in the evening. I would tell anyone to stop in because it is a unique dining experience that you will want more of. One cool thing I thought was they play LPs for there music and you can make request from there selections of oldies but goodies. It is an outdoor eating place that will make you feel you are in the Caribbean.

“The Gulf - great food, awesome atmosphere, good music!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2013

I visited The Gulf last weekend for dinner with friends. You order at the counter and find a table; your food is delivered straight to the table. I had the Mahi Mahi Salad -- which was absolutely delicious! Everyone else enjoyed their food too -- burgers, sandwiches, shrimp.

There are tons of large picnic tables to chose from, plus a massive "lounge" area with couches, cushions, umbrellas, and tables scattered across the beach.

We ate dinner at a picnic table and had cocktails at a big couch on the beach while we listened to a GREAT cover band and watched fishing boats head out for the night.

I would definitely recommend coming here with friends, families, dates, etc.
