“Nothing fried”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 17, 2013

Great steamed seafood. Royal Reds (a type of shrimp) are amazingly good. They have a few different sized sampler plates based on number of people in the group that are a good valued based on the amount of food you receive.

“Give fried food a rest”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 13, 2013

Nothing fried. A change from all the artery clogging fats.
Just seafood at its best. Good food. Good service.
Good place to eat.

“Disappointing”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed May 13, 2013

Maybe if the service hadn't been so horrible this would have been average. However, the crab legs were just ok, crab stuffed shrimp was overlooked on a bed of bland rice. Not sure why an Alabama restaurant is serving up corn on the cob, but it was a big failure. We had to practically beg the waitress for drinks and utensils, she brought out cole slaw after the dinners. Overpriced for the quality.

“Good, ample portion of seafood”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 12, 2013

$45 for steamed snow crab legs, shrimp, mussels, oysters (swapped them out for shrimp), potatoes & corn - very good. Meal for two but enough for four - we took half home. Corn & seafood chowder very good. Margarita made with mix, sent it back. Gumbo tasted like it was mixed in with left over chili - sent it back. The $26 plate was enough for two. Nice dining outside.

“Not as good as first visit”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 25, 2013

Having really enjoyed our first visit here two years ago, my wife and some friends stopped by this place after arriving in Gulf Shores to what I promised everyone would be a great evening of seafood. The dinner started promising with a very good crawfish-corn chowder. However, both my royal reds and crab clusters were below expectations. The reds were small and difficult to shell and the crab clusters seemed to have been prepared for a while. Wife and her friend thought the grilled shrimp and crab cakes were very good. The crab stuffed shrimp was very good with a delicious key lime pie finishing off the meal. Everyone seemed happy with their meal but I was a little disappointed in the reds and crab. Also noted that the last visit the place was full, this time we were about the only people there when we arrived. However, by the time we left it had several tables full. Will most likely give the place another shot. Hopefully it will gain it's original status.
