We just got home from ten days at Orange Beach and we did visit Live Bait Wednesday afternoon. It was not our first choice, but it was the closest to our condo location and we were starving. We do not have a complaint at all regarding this restaurant. We enjoyed our dining experience and it was actually our best meal in the Orange Beach/Gulf Shores area. It could only be topped by Felix's in Mobile which had fantastic prices on everything and was THE best meal, but in the Gulf area it was at Live Bait. We had six in our group for whole week and normally we brag on one or two other restaurants, but this was the most wonderful food, great gumbo, and total happy dining experience. I recommend to anyone to avoid the 6:00 dinner hour. At that time I am sure even the best places do get extremely busy. Skip the rush and go between 4 and 4:30. You will never have a wait or an overstressed server. We had seafood everyday with the exception of our last day and that was a steak dinner at Cottons. We loved and enjoyed Live Bait and will be back!!

Only went there once with my husband around 2000-no service to speak of-will never go back-could not even get 1 mixed drink when they are busy.

I visited this restaurant with 5 friends. The service was UNBELIEVABLY slow, the waitress was rude and unfriendly, the cook was overwhelmed. It took over an hour to get our food, the order was incorrect and half the order was not there. The food that did arrive tasted like frozen ,over fried food.. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!!!!!!

An almost perfect vaction in Orange Beach was nearly ruined by one night at this restaurant. We were there on Thursday night, May 18th. The waitress was so rude to my friends and my husband. The appetizer wasn't done, then we waited nearly an hour for the food. The food was overcooked and we were treated poorly by our waitress. Never have I ever seen a waitress so rude.
