“excellent for families”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 5, 2013

Tis is our first time staying at this property. It is very nice and great for kids. The condos are. very spacious. We had a broken screen on our balcony door and they fixed it almost immediately. Our friends lost track of their child at the pool and the whole staff was immediately alerted and they handled it very professionally. Te child was found without harm, thank goodness, had just wandered off to e wrong pool. I do wish they had a small grocery or snack bar on the property. zyou have to leave for everything and its a pain getting in and out of the parking deck.

Room Tip: All rooms have a beach view so theyre all good.

I feel like I should break my review down to the unit I stayed in and then the property itself.
Our room had an almost 180 degree view of the ocean and beach that was breath taking. From the bar, the living room, the dining table and each of the four bedrooms you have a direct view of the ocean and beach. This will make up for any other little issue you may find with the room. The balcony is big enough that we could have had a party on it, better than any other unit we have stayed in here. The secret is to get a room on the very ends, they have the best balconies and views.
The only issues were with the property. Pay attention to everyone's concerns about the elevators, they are real. We waited more and longer than ever for elevators and it does get old. There were hundreds of church group kids that checked in while we were there and they ran around screaming and hollering like they had no supervision at all, but one we got to our room, all was well. I would stay in this room again in a heart beat. Sure there were some spots on the floors, etc. But the view here is the story, and it was great.

Vacationed on 6/28/2013. Two night stay. Bday event that was ruined when Bday girl hits head on cement on balcony due to a flimsy chair left out on balcony probably already broken from prior guests? Had the Staff even looked outside and moved the furniture, this would've been advoided since the guest is small and barely sat on it before the complete back snapped causing her to need the ER the next morning..on her BDAY.. The big response from the Famous "Brett Robinson" .. "we pay nothing upfront".. to date and now that we're home..they've never called Victim, no refund, no mention of one, no credit, no mention of one. A "normal" hotel on any level would be freaking out hoping you don't sue them... they'd probably give you anything on the house... all we got was a late check out.. no incident investigation.. thankfully we have pictures.. but tell that to the victim who has retriggered an old neck injury. I am still "floored" at the lack of concern and offer to make any of it right. I will say the Hotel Manager did tell me that they don't look at the balcony upon cleaning..now don't you all feel safe.. Wait till someon falls dues to faulty equiptment resulting in a death.. I'm sure they'll change their tune.. Worst experience ever.

Just got back after a week stay at this property. Very nice rooms and property. Our kids loved the lazy river and water slide. Also had a very easy access to the beach. Would recommend this to anyone!!

This was our third time staying at Phoenix west in the last 5 years and the conditions and atmosphere has really gotten bad. Our room had not been kept up very well, especially the bathroom. There was mold in the shower and the stool kept clogging. The ice in the fridge did not work but luckily the ice machine kept up with us (barely). When we arrived the tv would not work (no power) so we called the desk. After one hour we checked the breaker box to find out it had blown the breaker so we turned it on (they never did show up to fix it). After that we found out none of the three remotes worked the tv so we had to change channels one station at a time. Called the desk again and 3 hrs later the gave us a remote. One of our guests fell at the pool (watch out for the slope at the edge when you exit). We reported this to the desk and they showed absolutely no concern. Did not ask if he was ok or if he needed medical attention. Other guests said they had seen several people slip on the same spot. The mattresses in each room squeaked unbelievably. The desk said there wast nothing they could do but would check into it. We may try the new phoenix when it opens but will definitely not be staying here again.

Room Tip: get a privately owned room. definitely not one owned by bret robinson.

Need a carefree, relaxing beach getaway? Rely on Brett/Robinson Vacations to make it happen! The whole Morehead family wants to thank Brett/Robinson Vacations for a fabulous time staying in Phoenix West! What a treat! The condo was spacious, beautiful, and very well-equipped. Every convenience was thought of - from dishwasher, washer and dryer, to ice machine to TV's and DVR's in every room! We enjoyed an expansive view of the ocean and loved listening to the waves and taking in the beautiful view! We were impressed by the kindness of all staff! The pool, lazy river, slide, and beach were all easily accessed, super clean, and well maintained, and, of course, loads of fun! We booked on line and were taken care of by Brett/Robinson Vacations from then on. Check in and check out were a breeze. All around super vacation! Thanks a million Brett/Robinson! Look forward to seeing you again soon!

Room Tip: We slept 10 very comfortably with our 3 bedrooms since two of the bedrooms had two full beds and we...

We frequent Brett Robinson's Phoenix West and love it every time! The condos are large and the floor plans are perfect for multi-family vacations. My kids absolutely love the lazy river and the slide. The view of the Gulf is sensational. See you in September Phoenix West!

Room Tip: I prefer to be on a lower floor. During the busy season, sometimes the elevators are a little slow.
