This was one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. The only thing that looked like the website was the lobby. Our first room had mold and mildew on the walls - we stayed for 1/2 of the night but had to get a new room after waking to a flooded floor!!!!!!!! The 2nd room was not much better. We was awaken by spiders and bugs crawling in the bed!
NEVER AGAIN WILL WE STAY AT THE LEXINGTON!! TRAVELERS BEWARE!

“One horrible place”

Lexington Hotel Montgomery

Jun 16, 2008

Remembered this hotel in its glory days - those days are long gone. Dirty - bathroom and bathtub had so much mold & mildew in it - that it was unusable. Nice size pool but whirlpool & pool was so full of kids (there was only 4 families in the hotel - 2 families were mine). That leaves 2 familes to have 20 - 30? kids, or could they been outsiders? Family tragedy situation - no time or energy to deal with it. Just don't stay here - do not let the suppose ammenites lure you in. I must admit the staff was friendly, but not very effective.

Just stayed one night. The room was adequate for the purpose. Large double bed, hot shower, bar with reasonable snacks, and no noise at night.

My son was shipping out for the army and this is the MEPS station that they have to stay in overnight before they ship out,so I wanted to be close to him so I could spend as much time as possible before he left. I think I spent more time with the front desk clerk than my son! I called the morning of the 23rd and made resevations for a king bed in a smoking room, when we got there we were given a double bed no smoking room, the desk clerk moved us to the outside in a king roomwhich was also non-smoking. I went back and he gave me an ashtray and made it smoking. My husband went to to take a shower and after 20 minutes still had no hot water, I went to check it and when I pulled the shower curtain back it was covered with mold, there was alsomold on the walls and ceilings in room and bathroom. I went back to the front desk and he moved us next door, the water was hot but when my husband got out of the shower there wa a dirty towel hanging on the back of the door, this was our third room so I let it go. When I went to pull back the covers thre was hair all over the sheets, not just a couuple the maid could have lost but at least 15 of different lengths all over the sheets. I went back to the front desk and he was going to move us again but I just asked for clean sheets and changed them myself. The next morning I complained to the front desk manager and she was very apologetic and gave us half off the room I still don't think we should have paid anything but she was so nice and my son had just shipped out and all I wantd to do was go home. The only thing this hotel has going for it is it's emplyees and I wrote the min office concerning my problems and these same wonderful employees will prbably be the ones punished. I would advise any families of soldiers shipping out to stay in another hotel and visit with your son or dughter in the common areas until it is time for them to go to there room, it will b well worth the extra drive. My son's room was not even cleaned from the night beforeat all. I think thats a pretty dirty way to treat these enlistees who are about to go fight for our freedoms. I would encourage anyone who has stayed there with an enlistee to contact anyone you can as I am doing about our soldiers last night in a real bed and the conditions they are in. I would sleep in my car before I stayed in this hotel again!
