“made for one great trip”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 21, 2008

The people were great, and the service was fast and freindly. (I'm talking about the house keepers). They came in and cleaned are room quickly and They done a thorough job.The pool area was clean including the hot tube. The food both mornings was hot and they had a large varitey....the powder eggs i stayed away from:)....I liked the fact that they had security cams outside.Even the frontdesk people were helpful....But what really Got me sold were the T.V s..We watched the olympics on some great wide screen t.v's. One thing are family didn't like was it wasn't a true suite we stayed in room 219....to make the room better they need to put a wall up....when you turn the T.v up ,u do it for both.Your sitting area is right with your sleeping area but the staff made up for that.............................................................Wesley A Smith

The rooms were a nice size. Bathrooms were clean and spacious. Bed was comfortable. The breakfast was also decent. I'm not much of a breakfast eater and was able to find something palatable.

The only small complaint would be the front desk staff. We requested a remote for the television and was told that we would have to come down to get it b/c they were short staffed. We also received complaints about members in our group (in different rooms) being noisy and slamming doors. Didn't understand this b/c they were not even in the hotel at the time.

Overall, it was a nice stay and I would stay again.

I stayed here overnight, and would never stay here again. The bathroom had hair on the floor and in the shower from several different people. (blond, black brown hair etc) It made me sick to my stomach. I did not use the bathroom until the following morning and promptly called the front desk. I wanted to speak to the manager and was told there wasn't one there but I could leave my name and number. I left that information and here it is 4 days later and still no telephone call. The deluxe breakfast was also terrible, I tried the hard boiled eggs and they were ice cold and tasted several days old. Dont stay here, stay somewhere else!

We stayed in this hotel Aug 31 until Sept 2 as part of a wedding party. We booked a king "suite" b/c we have two young sons and can always use the extra room and television. We expected a set up like at Embassy Suites, with a separate room for the sitting area and sofa bed, but no such luck. It was one room with a king bed and a large tv, beside it was a sofa bed with another large tv. It was still nice to have the fridge but all in all, not worth it. We could have done just as well with a couple of queen beds. The room was clean and a decent size, but we were still disappointed with the arrangement.

The bathroom was poorly arranged as well. The door to it blocked off most of the sink area and completely blocked the toilet. It took some
maneuvering to navigate around it. And don't bother bringing hangup clothes b/c the closet isn't wide enough for hangers nor is it big enough for the clothing of two people. The a/c was horrible. Our a/c had two temperatures: Iceland and tropical rain forest, no in
between. And it ran all the time, never stopped. Several other guests
mentioned this as well.

The breakfast was okay, nothing great: boxed eggs, cereal, pastries, bagels, yogurt, bananas. We opted for the Waffle House across the street one morning.

On another note: a couple of people with the wedding party requested smoking rooms. One of those people was placed in a room next to us that did not have a no smoking sign on the door like every other room on the floor. It seemed odd to me that there would be a smoking room all alone on this floor, but it was requested, there was no sign, so be it. The day of the wedding, the housekeeping manager not so politely informed the people in that room (I was in there when she
came to the door) that not only was the room non smoking, but that they could charge them up to $500 for smoking in it. Uh, the guest requested smoking, there was no sign, and you are going to charge a fine for something that is obviously your mistake? Don't think so. On top of that, the manager told the guests that as of that very day,
the entire hotel was non smoking. Now that is a fine thing to do, but
shouldn't they have been told before checking in?

I will stick to the Embassy Suites when I am in Montgomery...or the Hampton Inn that is nearby as it does at least have a better breakfast, if the same pseudo-suite set up.

My visit was good until the second night, I was sleep and felt something crawling along my arms and woke to see a HUGE cockroach in my bed. The roach got away but soon return along the walls in which it was destroyed. Could not sleep the rest of the night. CHECKED OUT DAY BREAK...

Someone sneak a dog into their room, reported nothing was done...

I loved the room because it wasn't cluttered. Fridge, Small sink, microwave, bigger TV and walkin shower. Friendly staff. Breakfast wasn't impressive but all in all a nice stay and would stay again. Very convenient to the Shoppes at Eastchase.

We stayed at this hotel for a week during the Division 2 Baseball series and felt very comfortable here. The rooms were clean and spacious although the cleaning staff wasn't too hospitable. However, the front desk was very accommodating and helpful and in fairness, we were quite a large, noisy group! The continental breakfast was good, with the selection including cereal, english muffins, danish, toast, omelets, hard-boiled eggs, yogurt and fruit plus a few other things. This hotel is right off the highway and down the road from fantastic shopping at a large outdoor mall. Decor and furnishings were in great condition and I believe this hotel is fairly new. There was also a nice indoor pool and hottub, but the outside deck was very small and not too welcoming. Unfortunately, there was no restaurant or lounge, but the restaurant next door (Charley's) was fantastic. There is also a Waffle House and a Subway shop across the street. Overall, this was a good Holiday Inn Express to stay at!!
