I never stayed at the Holiday Inn Express on Troy Highway in Montgomery, AL. I tried to cancel my reservation and was told I could not because I had already paid for the room--I was offered the option to change dates but I did not want to do that. The front desk was very nice and gave me the owner's e-mail to complain.
I just did all this so I haven't heard back from the owner yet. I have also sent e-mails to the Priority Club and to the Media Relations staff of the parent company. I'm not done yet--I'll find whomever I can to express my displeasure of this.
I have never, ever had this happen. I made my reservations via internet. I will call for any hotel reservations from now on and make sure I can cancel if I need to.
