“Great weekend getaway”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 15, 2012

My husband and I stayed the weekend in the pool suite and were very satified with our stay. It was a little cool for the pool so we made good use of the hot tub. It was like a Oasis in the middle of Downtown. Breakfast was good, the room was spacious and the atmosphere was very laid back. I would definately stay here again.

We stayed one night at the Berney Fly B&B and had a very nice stay. The room was private. The pool and gardens are lovely. Steven, The Innkeeper, was very helpful with suggestions for dinner options and shared other interesting information about the cities history. Took a nice walk in the morning around the neighborhood streets and felt safe and comfortable. Steven was very thoughtful to allow us to stay a little bit beyond checkout.

Lovely house, great food and superb hosts!
My wife and I stayed there for one night in August and had the pool suite - it was quite spacious and private. The B&B is about a 15 minute walk down town - which was enjoyable.
I would strongly recommend this place, my only regret, not eating that last biscuit :)
Cheers!!!

My partner and I had a great 2 night stay at this B&B, The facility is well kept, the food is great, the hosts are knowledgable about Mobile and the location is wonderful. We loved the tropical garden and pool. The hosts knew every restaurant in town and had insightful comments about each. Its located on Government Street that has live oaks and spanish moss across 5 lanes of traffic, making a tunnel over the entire street, very scenic and unique to Mobile. Its convenient to downtown, a short drive and in a safe neighborhood for walking. This was my second visit to Mobile, but by far my most enjoyable visit thanks to Steven and Enoch and their lovely place.

Room Tip: WE stayed in the bungalow, separate from the main house and all to ourselves.

I've stayed here several times and it is always great. The pool is wonderful, hosts are helpful, and the location is near the downtown area. Bring a bottle of wine and take advantage of the porch swing at night! And for breakfast, if you are lucky, Steven might make his world famous grits! We'll definitely be back!

I surprised my best friend last August with a birthday trip to Mobile and chose the Berney Fly Bed and Breakfast as our destination. The house was absolutely beautiful from the peacock stained glass front door to the hospitality and genuine southern charm of the owners. We stayed in the French Art Deco Room which was clean, comfortable and reminded me of a time gone by. Steven was a wealth of knowledge regarding the history of the local area and recommended several local activities and restaurants for our enjoyment. The pool and gardens are a delight to relax in and breakfast the next morning was a pleasure of the palate. We enjoyed this visit so much we returned this year for an 2 night stay. We stayed in the Poolside Bungalow which was a little world of our own. Steps from the pool and gardens, we enjoyed the hot tub, afternoon cocktails and wonderful conversational with the owners. Steven and Enoch will ensure you have a pleasant visit to their beautiful and historic city. And once again breakfast, including pancakes of Steven's own recipe will entice you to have several more. After two visits we feel as if they have become our friends and their home is our family home away from home. We are moving to Texas soon but will return to visit our friends and enjoy time with our extended "family"!! Thank you for wonderful memories, historical conversation, beautiful accommodations and new friends!!!!
