“Club room is the best!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 13, 2012

Special and exclusive check in for club room and suite only (at 21st floor) : skip all the queuing. Great customer service. I felt like i was the only one staying there.
The room is spacious, with two balconies and i can almost saw entire Malacca from just my own room! the washroom is huge and eye-dropping. it even got a weight measuring machine!

only negative thing is WIFI. need to leave the room for it as only the lounge and lobby provide WIFI.

Overall, club room is worth of money. willing to pay more to get this kind of room. (better than premier room, i guaranteed!)

Room Tip: Higher rooms are better with more great view

I stayed this week at this hotel. The reviews were good and therefore I look forward to this visit. However I was disappointed that if you booked standard rooms and not premier room (I think higher floor), it was not 5 star standard. My room had a bad smell (probably worn out carpet) and have to ask housekeeping to freshen up the room. It did help for a little while and when the perfume wears off, the smell returns. We have to buy air fresher from the supermarket and put in our room. I asked the Front desk about the room and replied was this is upgraded room. I was shocked. Anyway the staff were very helpful and breakfast was good.

Location is great, just 1 minute and you can get to shop like mad, 5-10mins you get to Jonker Street with ease. Service is good, partly because I stayed in a VIP room but the VIP room was not too expensive so i suggest you guys to book the VIP room. However the cleanliness is abit no no as there were mosquitoes around, from the lobby to the hotel rooms.

I was fortunate to secure a last minute deal at this popular 5-star hotel, and they did not disappointed. I got an Executive Suite at a discounted RM400++ (normal tariff RM1,000) which grant me exclusive check in at their lounge, as well as complimentary evening cocktail, personalised room service as well as full access to hotel faciliites (gym, jacuzzi etc).

The stay was very pleasant and the hotel staff delight me in every single little details. Coupled with the fabulous location, you can't ask for a better hotel than this. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: Get a room on the sea side for better views.

I was definitely impressed! I drove around 250km to visit my favourite hotel again! This time was more of a relaxing trip! Arrived much earlier via first link, took 3 hrs to reach avoiding jams within melaka if u kw how. Along the way, stopped at one NSH R&R for breaky.

We took RM88 hotel stay package and enjoyed international buffet breakfast. Sad to say, it lost hands down to their previous nonya buffet breakfast.

We had pool view and more spacious room! Perfect except they have some big black ants lingering whole room. Still swimming pool, tennis, gym, jacuzzi and sauna make up for these shortcoming.

This is savouring good food and shopping trip, we headed across road to try two of their famous nonya restaurants and not-so-impressive chicken rice ball. Mako nonya restaurant does lives up to its name - fried chicken and chendol.

Hotel itself organised countdown at lobby followed by merry making dancing. Alas, mgt didn't ensure sound system working prior to event. Across the road, have 2 24-hr 7-11 and mini-mart.

Palahwan makohta next hotel has underground shops linked to other shopping centre. Did my self portrait at only rm10! Also visited pet shop, diy shop, funfair stalls upstairs, not forgetting movie - watched Alvin n chipmunks3 with special rate for kids! Don't forget night bizzare where night is young. Really love melaka and location of Equatorial is perfect! So far, only Fernix hotel at half the rate plus free parking can beat it! Less amenities and safety of carpark. Equatorial has guards taking care with barrier.

Went there for a 2d1n stay. Love the location. The shopping malls are just across the road. They have fantastic pool, huge and clean. But too bad, because we spend too much time shopping, there's no time left to enjoy the pool. Will definitely spend sometime at the pool on my next visit. Breakfast is alright. Will definitely stay there again.

Thumbs down to this accommodation. You can find much better for the price. Desperately needs a renovation.
