Nyonya food has become popular and "normal". With that in mind, it helped to be with local Malacca folk who know Amy as we were treated well.
It also helps:
to make reservations
that it's quiet on a week day
that we had a large group, so we could have more dishes and variety.
Amy's seating isn't huge, which means that food comes out quickly, is tasty and good. But expect noise rebound when it's full of people.
Warning: Two of our group asked for regular water (as opposed to bottled water). The water tasted weird - perhaps straight out of the tap?!
