“New, Clean budget hotel but noisy disco sound @ night”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 27, 2012

stayed for 2d/1n on 21-22/7 Late check in . Simple , clean & new hotel . Great rain shower . Clean room . Bed is a little bit too hard while bed sheet is a lil bit itchy after our slept for a night.
Only one staff while we check in ,in good manner . Met with a group of china's tourist & their sound can even heard when we in our room . adequate breakfast with little choice as it's budget.
The worst part is , during the night we can hear the night club/disco sound beeping in the room during the WHOLE night from the nearby shop. And guess the disco sound only stop @ 5am in the morning . Hope they should improve this . As i only slept for 3hrs after the disco sound stop. That's killing.

this definitely for budget boutique stay.

Room Tip: we stayed in room 112 and can heard the disco beeping sound so clear & loud. avoid it .

2 of 5 stars Reviewed June 21, 2012

It was the international dragon boat festival last weekend, we have a hard time getting hotels all over melaka. Even smaller ones like Marvelux, Syaz Meridian have all shouted full house. Thank god for my cousin who reccomended this new hotel but it was nothing to shout about.

claims to be 550m away from the two main malls in Bandar Hilir Melaka, but seems to be its a stone throw of less than 200m that's the + side i guess. Lots of renovation going on there, once into the hotel reception, there wasn't even any air-conditon switched on from concierge to the aisles along your rooms and mind you i was stung my mozzies. Reception was fast extremely fast, within 5mins i was in my room. The downside was i got a key and only one key card, we have 4 travellers and air condition is not centralised and the key card acts as a main supply to electricity and we were facing the west sun and the room took 4hours to cool down despite air con running at 16degrees celsius but view was alright you get to see partial seaview. Ask for room 528 1 king and 1 super single, room was humongous for a 114SGD price tag.

Toilet facilities includes rain shower but it was extremely dirty when we walked in, water hose beside W.C was spoiled. No mini fridge but generous space. Location-wise full of massage parlors both sleazy and orthodox ones. Food choices limited, you need a walk towards the other end of the road facing holiday inn for both day and night. There's a bar call the ANT bar nearby with Live Pole dance performance and mind you try to park within hotel compound if you are driving, my cousin's boyfriend got a parking ticket parking at the opposite hotel when they came for breakfast at the Herbal pork rib soup stall next door.

Room Tip: Get Room 528 if you are ok with West Sun. Very good views i guess, see photos

Average hotel but clean, that's the only reason why we stayed here. Toilet needs more lighting. Breakfast is minimal. Plus point is few eateries around.

This hotel is very new(just a few months old) and is located convenienty near big shopping areas and eateries. Places of interest are also easily accessible. The room is quite spacious and it comes with a comfortable king-sized bed! They have lift and parking space too. There is also a good spread of menu for breakfast.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 20, 2011

I stay one night at this hotel. I walk-in without booking and was attended by a nice counter staff. Stayed at the Exective King room and the room condition exceeds my expectation. The hotel was new so that was no foul smell and the bathroom (with rainshower) and bed was all in good condition. The room decor was special and spacious. However as the hotel was fully book, they could not entertain my request for extra pillow. Hotel is about 10mins walk to the shopping malls and there are plenty of eating houses next to it. Parking is plenty but unsheltered. Check out time is 12pm but if u are late for 1 hour they charge RM10 which I feel was reasonable. Overall had a great stay.

The Hotel is very new, also smells new when we enter the lobby...very affordable. Parking is free everywhere.

THe Executive King that we have is simple yet neat and neo-retro but only 2 soft-pillows. Break1st is good for the price we paid but exhaust out-put is needed; too much frying in the dinning area choke-up the air that we have to leave soon. As I have said that its very new, so new that staff have problem getting things done fast enough. Corridors is not air-conditioned so can be really stuffy. A disco-teq near by that pounded till dawn..:(

Other than that the hotel is surrounded with lots to Shoppings and Historic sites to see. Especially the old Chinese district called Jonker St & China-Town...bargaining is a compulsory or you pay 50% more!

Round the corner is a Noodle & Porridge Restaurant; served beautiful seafood. 4 dishes we had, cost us only RM$95. Dumb-up!

Chicken-Rice Balls NOT recommended.

Stayed in this hotel in July just 1 week after its soft opening.

Location is not fantastic. Its further inside Melaka Raya. Fenix Inn will be a good choice, very accessible to attractions.

Bathroom flooring was not well smooth and sharp edges cut my toe resulting in a big wound.
No "First Aid Kit" in the hotel. Manager has to go out and buy, which by the time was way past 30 mins later and i have already bandaged with portable first aid which i brought along for travel. First Aid is a basic necessity.

Only rainforest shower is available which makes it not really easy to bathe if u do not intend to wash from head to toe.

Check in/out was slow. Hotel had no record of my booking even though i have booked through Agoda and is able to furnish the voucher. Staff claimed they did not receive/saw this booking. Check-Out took a long time even though the taxi was waiting. Staff did not know how to operate the system. Require a credit card deposit of RM50 upon check-in but didn't know how to release the amount upon check-out. After numberous tries, recept produce a receipt claiming the release is done.

To my horror, when i am back in Singapore and check on my credit card bills, the amount is not release. Called a few times back to the hotel before a staff called back and informed that their bank is having a problem and will release the amount the following month. However, its now End of September and i have yet to hear from them. Send a feedback via their website also received no response. Made a call to them yesterday (yet again and wasting more money on international calls), a staff claim she is not from the front desk and not able to help. Its the next working day and have yet to get a response from them. Either the staff or the management is really turning a blind eye.

Would caution travellers of this hotel.
