Avillion Legacy,Melaka,is one hotel with very airy and clean rooms, and service with a smile, real Malaysian Hospitality..The morning buffet breakfast was a spread, and I mean,A SPREAD,both Western and Asian, any guests would be amply filled, even enough to skip lunch, and enjoy their tour of Melaka till dinner time...The staffs are courteous and always have a nice words for all guests,be it day or night.. I wouldnt mind at all, going back to the hotel,on my future trips...So comfortable,"A home, away from home" Congratulation,The Manager...

Stayed for 2 nights in their Superior Room.

The Good: reasonably priced, with free parking (poorly lit though). Managed to check in early which was fuss free and quick. Booked 2 rooms but was only given 1 room while the room was being cleaned. Breakfast provided, good spread but quality of food wasn't fantastic.

The Bad: hotel doesn't seem to have a proper system in place. The family next to me were assigned the wrong room twice drawing sharp and loud criticism from the guest. When I went to collect the keys to my second room, there was some confusion as the room number stated on my record was already assigned out. They gave me an alternate room instead. Rooms are very tired and in bad need of sprucing up. Soap dish in the toilet was broken, and was just left sitting on the counter. Location is away from the Jonker, would probably be a 20 min walk.

Overall, a below average stay which will not see me back again unless I am desperate.

Negative reviews I read about Avillion Legacy really does not do justice to this good hotel. I stayed there for one night in the Studio Room ( 1414 ) on 18 August 2014 and were pleasantly surprised on how wonderful this hotel is. I was impress when i walk below the huge beautiful and colorful dome. When i reach the reception i was greet with smile and i know i came to the right place ( forgot the receptionist name ). Check in was fast. When i reach my room 1414, i open the door and the room was '' HUGE'' and clean...King size bed just for my self. The bathroom was very clean and amenities well arrange together..Internet in Malaysia is so cheap but they do charge the internet in the room ( 3hrs rm10 )..this thing the management need to look at. breakfast spread is good..i'm having nasi lemak and all.. even they are busy the indian waitress still clear my plates with a smile. The service throughout my stay was good..and the room huge and clean...and please if you pay rm200 or rm300 and you expect Ritz Carlton..you better go somewhere else..for me this hotel offer more value from what i pay..and i'll come back . Good job guys.

Room Tip: just add 30 - 40 buks to get a good room

Stayed there on the 24th June for 3 days and tried to check out on the second but cant. aircond is not cold at all and noisy, bed and everything is old, never been changed at all. toilets leaking with plenty of stains on the wall. carpark is dirty and eerie as well, cheap but wont be going there for a stay. those cheaper motel/hotels are better.

We stayed in Avillion Legacy Hotel, Melaka, from 8-11 June 2014.

This hotel only looks grand on the outside. People with respiratory problems should avoid staying at this hotel. It's not good for the lungs and people with sensitive nose. It's dusty inside and needs thorough vacuuming and clean up. It has a poor hotel maintenance program. Hotels like Equatorial, Hatten or Holiday Inn with good hotel maintenance would be a better choice.
The safe in most rooms are not functioning. It's either battery flat or some other technical issues. As travelers, we would like to keep our passports and valuables in the safe. It was troublesome to get the hotel to look into the problem as we need to make several phones calls and approach front desk before we got the problem solved. The hotel should rectify this problem to meet guests’ needs. There was nothing much around the hotel. Jonker Street would take about 20-30 mins walk and it's not difficult.

What I liked best abt this hotel was the pleasant tea fragrance from the bath gel and shampoo. I enjoyed using them. Free Wi-fii is only at the lobby.

Hotel Management could look into guests feedback seriously and seek improvements to make it a better hotel.

Room Tip: It's no difference as all rooms need thorough vacuuming and a good clean up.

I have checked in to Avillion Legacy Melaka on 12 July 2014. The service was excellent. However the maintenance of the hotel is very poor.

The main entrance/ lobby titles are broken but not repaired/replaced. I accidentally fell down due to the broken titles in the main entrance. Beside this, there was a strong and bad smell in the lobby. I guess the bad smell came from the carpet. Worst yet, the management allowed the cafeteria to arrange dining tables and chairs in the main lobby (right in front of the reception). I wonder does it appropriate to arrange the customers to dine in the main lobby?

Moreover,my room was dirty and dusty. The titles in the washroom was broken and not replaced also. The flush in the washroom was not working as well. Arghh~~~

Personally, this hotel does not deserve its 4 star ranking. I hope the management will look into these issues.

TQ.

Room Tip: Please do not choose the room facing main road during Ramahdan season.

good location, friendly reception. breakfast spread was satisfying. shower very powerful but a hand shower would have been an additional asset. aircon worked well but with some noise.

our bathroom sink was cracked in *5* places, so it looked rather tired. we never managed to sign on to wifi.
