“Uniquely Restored Goa Villa with Wellness Focus”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 5, 2012

Up until now, I'd avoided visiting south Goa due to the lack of appealing accommodation options. The majority of places to stay are luxury resorts or beach huts, which tend to be a bit basic. Turiya Villa & Spa nicely fills the gap by providing unique and extremely comfortable mid range accommodations. It's conveniently located near Palolem and Patnem beaches. The 100 year old villa has been expertly renovated and is absolutely stunning. Once you step inside, you're completely transported from mundane Goa village to an oasis where wellness is the focus. There's organic food, home cooked meals, and an Ayurvedic spa which is run by the owner's sister who is an Ayurvedic doctor. She gave me a wonderful deep tissue massage that really got down into my muscles. However, the highlight of my stay was definitely the beautifully decorated patio. I spent every spare moment relaxing there. It's impossible not to feel an overwhelming sense of tranquility and rejuvenation at Turiya.

Room Tip: The rooms that open out onto the patio are the best. They are named Rohini, Ashwini, and Ardra.

Turiya is charming and quaint as well as trendy and hip. I felt a bit like Alice In Wonderland, exploring each room and hoping to find some magic curios. The old word charm seeps through every quarter and one is almost transported to another space in time. Being a writer, i enjoyed my stay and came up with some great ideas as well. Its a writers paradise and one can even conduct some workshops here. It's much more than meets the eye.One should experience it atleast once!

While exploring Palolem/Canacona, we stumbled upon this beautiful yellow villa with bougainvillea creepers garlanding its gateway. It was a happy coincidence when we realized we could actually stay in this century old Portuguese bungalow! An added bonus was the range of spa therapies on offer. We've had our share of massages in Goa, but Turiya was something else. Authentic Ayurvedic and western therapies, delicious home-cooked food, a cozy verandah and a garden ringing with the song of lovebirds in a quiet pastoral ambience made our stay utterly blissful. The owner Sandesh, a well-known architect, has painstakingly restored the villa and his choice of tasteful decor makes you want to put your feet up and forget to leave! Visiting the local market and farm to buy fresh fish n veggies was a fun excursion! For those who love to explore, there's a beach nearby and some of the most scenic trekking trails in South Goa. If you're looking for a quiet little Eden away from the Goa mob, Turiya is the place for you... Anurag Mallick & Priya Ganapathy

If Turiya means awakening of consciousness then I have arrived at the right place. Creating such a state in a place like Goa is no easy task, what with a myriad of resorts trying to outdo each other. Here you find an experience akin to having your own home in Goa - only better in every way.

Familiar design elements are used in an unfamiliar manner. Sensitively detailed and immediately comforting - the Villa unlocks a state of peace not found in starchy fussy starry resorts. Adding to the charm is a spa literally a step away - and completely holistic in its outlook and treatment - not existing just to provide massages, but to solve problems imposed by urbanity on our mind, body and soul.

I highly recommend visiting at least once, and therein lies the problem, you will want to visit yet again :-)

If you are in Goa, you ought to stay in Turiya VIlla and Spa It is a perfect place for a family vacation or group of friends. It is short distance to the famous Palolem beach making it a perfect beach holiday. There is no hustle bustle around the villa thus making it a very relaxing holiday. I went there with a group of friends for a week and I must say it was a perfect holiday.

Everything exceeds your expectations. Villa is designed keeping mind the Portuguese architecture. Everything about this place exceeds your expectations. Owner is one of the most friendly guy who takes care of all your needs. I recommend this place to one and all- be it family, group of friends, couples.

Room Tip: All the rooms are nice..just go and stay here for a wonderful, relaxing holiday of your lifetime.

We found Turiya from one of of our friend who recommended us to stay in this hotel in goa trip. We reached Turiya in Jan first week 2012 and spent next 5 days. The best part of turiya is its location, the room and ambience. The food is good.

My and my family enjoyed the stay, we had freedom to feel like home and interact with other gusts too.

The interior is designed in one of the best way one can think of.
