“Great Shacks”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 27, 2013

Baga beach easily one of the most popular beaches in Goa. The beach is lined with many shacks to sit around in on a sunny afternoon with chilled beers. My personal favorite is Zanzibar which serves great food and plays some good music. A great place to watch the sunset and spend evenings too. The adventurous have numerous water sports options including para-sailing, water scooters etc.

“King Baga beach”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 26, 2013

This is the second time i've been to Goa and also the second time i stayed at baga beach and friends mind my words, this beach is the best beach in Goa, if you talk about North and South, Baga beach is simply the king beach. Most happening crowd, most happening shacks, more stuff like water sports to enjoy. I am in love with this beach. Next time i will go to goa, i will again prefer to stay here only.

“A great place for fun with friend but if u are looking peace just stay away”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 26, 2013

Baga is the currently the busiest and the most happening beaches in Goa. Pretty crowded, bustling with people, sun beds (Rs. 100 for an hour) and sport activities like water skiing (Rs. 300 for a 3-4 mins ride), parasailing (Rs. 600 for appx a min of being in air, but w0rth experiencing atleast once), banana boat ride etc during the day and beach side candle light dinner by the night, lined by shacks offering good value for money food and cheap booze, it's become a perfect party place for young. And offers great views with people and activity.

On the flipside, if u are looking to spend a quiet afternoon on the beach, this is not your place, too many vendors who will hassle u every 2 mins (though they are not unruly, loud or rude) sometimes for ice-cream or tatoo or braiding blah blah blah, too much noise, very little privacy, with occasional cow or dog walking by. Afternoons are the most crowded.

If u wish to enjoy peace and quiet mornings before 10 and evening after 7 are a good time to visit. But in any case it offers fun for everyone.
