A great resort hotel. Full of lush greenery, well maintained lawns, beautiful landscaping, best service, care for guest. Even the basic room is so big with great view of garden. Sea facing rooms may not have much advantage as the sea is more than 250 m away. Just enjoyed staying there. everyday evening they organize some shows. we enjoyed the fire eater show. Though a public beach, it was more like a private beach with very few people. Only problem will be access to the city or nearby town. the Taxi at the gate of the resort start with minimum charge of Rs 500/-. Next thing is you have very limited option for food outside the resort.

Room Tip: If you want a resort feel, choose the villas rather than the rooms in the main building. Villas w...

If you want to relax & rejuvenate this is THE place in Goa. You dont have to venture out of the resort. Enjoy beach, sports, spa & food along with great staff inside the resort. Kids also have activities scheduled for them most of the day.

We stayed in a pool villa worn or one year old. It was a lot of fun! The pool was well maintained and big enough for us to swim. The room was large with a separate wardrobe section. Furnishings are a bit old fashioned and in need of change but overall the room didn't disappoint. The food was excellent. . the Italian restaurant was amazing. They are very baby and toddler friendly with a nice kids play room. Would definitely consider going there again!

This place is great. but then this place is not great because of the surroundings or anything else, but because of its people

I stayed here for 5 days along with my family to celebrate my first anniversarry. let me first of all thank the people who made the stay memorable :

Manoj (F&B head) - you truly are a living example of what customer service really means
Namrata - Thanks for everything right from check in to the anniversarry surprise
Azhar - great guy in the coffee shop. always smiling and ready to help
Krishna -great guy in coffee shop
Vijay (activity incharge)- thanks for teaching us Golf

I stayed in their sunset plunge pool villa. in itself, its beautiful (the pools in the villas vary in their depth although not by much) mine was 3.5 feet and close to the sea. Though i must admit most of pvt villa pools lack privacy and guess taj must work on this aspect

I found my pool had great privacy amazing location and i would rather refrain from giving my villa number as everyone would then wana stay here :)

everything stands out here, from the moment you check in. the greetings, the welcome drinks, the welcome brief. they way you are taken to your rooms and the briefing, you know clearly you will be pampered here

your wish is their command, nothing is impossible. i remember my family checking in very early next morning and so room was in a mess and i had to ask housekeeping to clean ot 3-4 times in 5 hours but they were so sweet everytime

everyday there was a note from GM along with chocolates (great gesture). they arranged for anniversarry surprise, cake and singers (w as great)

had a medical emergency and the doc was there within 4 minutes. amazing

The place has everything (golf, cricket, football, archery, pool, chess, cycling (2 hrs free everyday), ) one can ask for and there's practically no need to go out

beach is very close by and was clean. property is huge (56 acres) with some nice ponds around. its lush green. This place is perfect for a laidback holiday

summing up

Great things:

- airport pick up (asked for private one, got it)
- checkin was a breeze
- food was good with variety
- amazing hospitality
- a program every evening along with multiple activities in the resort
- they will arrange for anything in a jiffy
- some great views
- amazing spa

Improvements needed

- plunge pool should have drainage on all sides rather than only one, due to water dripping, the floor becomes slippery and dangerous (pls pay attention)
- apart from my villa, i found privacy for pool villas a question mark, maybe you should look at it

my family stayed in luxury room and they too were very good. Overall a very very nice place made even great due to the immensely good people who know their job and do it effectively

Will i come again? for experiencing this kinda hospitality, yes i will

Room Tip: choose sunset plunge villas if you can, although luxury rooms too are great

Here are some experiences from my stay at the Taj Exotica recently. Travelled with my husband and infant son for 3 nights.

Check-in: Airport transfer was a breeze. The security at the gate didn't have my name on their list, which was strange considering that the reception staff noticed multiple bookings in my name! Check-in took longer than it should have.

Room: In the 300 series, not too far from the pool or the restaurants. Large room, elegant decor. Tastefully furnished in Goan style. Comfortable, relaxing and quiet.

Food: The buffet spreads at Eugenia are great! A wide variety of ready food, live counters, fresh fruit juices. Easily one of the best spreads I've seen in a while, my sincere compliments to the chefs. The Miguel Aracanjo restaurant is average, and the sparkling wine they served us was flat - at room temperature with no bubbles! It was replaced after we complained.

Property: Easily the best I have seen in Goa, much better than Taj's own Holiday Village and Fort Aguada. Beautiful lawns, lush greenery all around. Except for the constant whirring of lawn mowers (a necessary evil to maintain a property like this). Lovely pool, walkways lined with flowering shrubs, and a beautiful unspoilt beach attached! Its a place where you can spend a fortnight and not feel like stepping out of the hotel even once. Mind the coconut trees though, you never know when a coconut's gonna land on your head!

Tex Kids: We celebrated our son's first birthday here. Its a really nice kids center that keeps kids occupied with different activites every day!

Check-out: Again, took a little longer than expected. But by this time, we'd had a lovely time, and we didn't mind.

Service. Ah, the service. My husband has a thumb rule - When in doubt, pick the Taj. And they proved him right from the start. Most of the staff is impeccably behaved, extremely particular and mindful of your needs. All our special requests were taken care of - whether it was sterilizing my baby's feeding bottles, or making khichdi for him on request. They organized a lovely birthday celebration for him, making our stay even more special. We needed to consult a pediatrician, and they got one to visit us to check on our baby. One night at dinner, I didn't have a lot of food on my plate, and I was immediately asked why I wasn't eating - whether the food was ok, if I needed anything else. Its this level of service that sets the Taj apart from competition. A special thanks to the all the staff especially Rahil, Ranjan, Ambrosia, Maria, Janeeb.

This was a memorable stay for me and my family, we really liked it! Will visit again for sure!

Room Tip: If you are travelling with kids pick a room closer to the restaurants. For a couple looking for priv...
