“Never Ever”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed October 8, 2012

We were in Goa last week and happened to stop by for a quick grub at the Mango Tree located near the Vagator Beach in Goa. It did n't take us long to realise that we were not welcomed there. It took 15mins before we could find a table initially while the waiters did their best to avoid any eye contacts. It took them another 15mins and an unwilling mind to finally rearrange the table. We decided to leave soon after learning that our food would take an hour to arrive at the table.

The staff seem only interested in catering to the expat tourists and there is no sense of service for anybody else. This tree is out of picture for me.

“Bask under the Mango Tree in Vagator”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 12, 2012 via mobile

This is one place which, if you are in Goa for a while, you will find yourself visiting again and again, and perhaps again.
This café/restaurant/bar stays open from 9:00am to 4:00am, so time is not a constraint. This, personally, is a big plus for me. Wifi facility is available, but was not in operation when I had visited. Credit/debit cards are not accepted here, so carry cash.
Favored by travelers who visit Goa for long stays, Mango Tree is a place to sit back with your drink, engage in interesting conversations, smile on hearing those loved 80s songs which play in the background, and enjoy the delicious food. I highly recommend their pizzas and garlic toast. Note the shortened menu with slightly higher prices after midnight.
If available, grab a stool at the bar counter--the highlight of Mango Tree.

“Food Drink and Everything Else”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 21, 2012

Run by the same guy who runs HillTop, Mango Tree has been serving some of the best eats and drinks in Vagator.

Built around a Mango Tree, this restaurant is located bang on the main road. Loved their Mojito and continental stuff.

Wonderful Ambiance.
