"Excellent Service and Value for Money"
It was 1st time I was visiting this Resort, I must say it was as it is showed it their website (Many hotels in Goa will not be same as shown in the websites). Excellent Rooms and Great Services. Specially the Manager Mr Harish was more than Helpful in arranging everything that we requested( Vehicle, requested food.. Etc), his hospitality was commendable. Food was Good specially Sea Food, Room service was prompt. I stayed their for 1 week and overall cost of stay was much less than what is paid earlier in other hotels(FYI...visited Goa atleast 8 times before :))
If you are looking for a Hotel with Great Service and Value for your Money GINGER TREE is the place.

Room Tip: IF you are looking for Villa, opt for Villa with private pool, its great and for single rooms choose...

I had planned a surprise trip for my parents who had their 30th anniversary, so I wanted to make it special. considering Ginger Tree to be a group, thought they would be good in customer service but it was the worst staying experience my parents ever had which makes me remorseful at my choice of choosing them for this special event.
• I paid 100% in advance, and paid for an extra for the card and flowers out of which they did not deliver the card. The flowers delivered were not value for money.
• Even after a special request they gave my parents a room where the toilets were broken, my parents complaint but no change.
• They even charge you to come to your room apart from the normal charge of the tea etc.
• Pool wasn’t clean

I regret booking with them, I wanted to make my parents stay special, and it was but in the most worst way possible.
Extremely Poor service and a MUST NO for me, my family and friends.

Room Tip: Corner rooms are bigger and better, always check the place out through trip advisor.

amazing rooms, service is a bit slow (still good), the the food is okay types, there are far far faaaaaarrrrrrr better eateries in goa, loved the architecture, the pool, the manager (and other staff) very nice n warm.... we got the rooms right in front of the pool. total value for money (although we went in sept so it was very cheap for a property like this) overall a great staying exp, will go back for sure

Room Tip: dont know about the standard rooms, but deluxe were really good, right next to villas n in front of...

We had booked for a particular villa with Ginger tree the previous day of our stay by paying an advance amount. When we reach the destination, we were told that the villa is no longer available as there is no electricity in that particular villa. (The bell was ringing when we tried it and when inquired, we were told that the TV and the Fridge and the AC's have some problem, which i found very fishy). They should have informed us prior to our arrival and should have made arrangements before we reached the place. I did not like the way the situation was handled. They showed us 2 rooms which was far from each other, as a family we were not ready to stay separately.

Finally after waiting for more than 1 hour, they arranged for another villa.

Room Tip: The villas are nice, villa 21 to 24 has a good entry and has access to the pool from the back.

horrible place to stay!!!! booked through agoda and landed in disgusting place. as we had included in bfst we went with a high expectations ut to our surprises we landed up eating fruits and corn flakes. wat we see in pictures is just a view of one side resturant. every where cleaning stuff lying, resturant was in very bad condition, no hygine, all broken cups and plates kept for buffet bfst. pathetic condition.. only one waiter and 2 house keeping for entire hotel. since we had booked for 2 days we had to stay with as there was no choice. ... rooms are pathetic. no proper hygine in wash rooms they hardly care and come for housekeeping services inspite of calling them they didnt turn up for cleaning. i suggest not to go for such fake photos view in website.

Room Tip: all the same nothing matters in such hotel

I was so appalled at the hotel booked through agoda that I felt compelled to write a review.
I have stayed in basic hotels and never had to complain but this was disgusting.
As soon as we walked in to the room we noticed several things;
- Bed sheets were soiled and upon looking at it closer they had not been washed.
- Pillows smelt of smoke and again had marks all over them.
- The blanket had white marks all over it
- The television did not work
- No toilet roll
- The shower didn't work
- Towels were dirty
- the walls had muck all over them - although we didnt really care about this as all we wanted was clean sheets and clean workable shower.
We went back to reception and asked for clean sheets, they said they would give us some tomorrow!!! they would not give us any to sleep in that night.
We complained the next day, and the guy, Pavan told us he would get the room cleaned, when we asked if could move to another room, he simply replied no. There were no rooms available due to the peak period. As soon as he saw the room and all the things we pointed out to him, miraculously he moved us into another room straight away.

Thinking we had probably just had one bad room we gave them the benefit of the doubt. However, the second room again, shower was filthy and the hot water would only be on for literally 1-2 minutes.
On top of this people in the room next to us decided to have a party at 4am in the morning so it kept us awake all night and each night after they kept playing techno music really loud that our wall was shaking. When we complained about the noise the manager said not to worry about and that it shouldn't happen again, needless to say it happened everynight!.

Don't eat the food there, its really unhygienic, food falls on the floor and they just pick it back up again and use it.

The hotel is also quite far away from the main road. You have to walk about 15-20 minutes on a really long winding road to get to a restaurant. Not so good when walking at night even with someone.

The hotel have an agreemet with one taxi man who rips you off completely. Do not use it!. He charged us 400 rupees just to drop us off to to the main road! When we got a local taxi he charged 100 rupees!

Also the manager, Pavan, please do not bother asking him for advice on where to go, he would simply say "no theres not much to do there", "don't bother". He wouldnt even recommend a restaurant but simply said eat here!

We finally decided to get a motobike on hire, and luckily as we were not in the hotel much it made our stay slightly bearable.

We booked with Agoda and were told we did not have to pay the news year eve gala charge but the manager said we had to pay this which we refused.

On a positive note the pool was nice but i think thats the only thing about this hotel!

I will put some pics up that i took of the rooms just so you can see how bad it really was as soon as possible so it can help you make an informed decision as to wether you want to stay here or not

Honestly there is nothing nice about this hotel and for the price you can find many places to stay that are so much nicer.

In Anjuna there isnt a lot to do so it may also be worthwhile staying in places such as Candolim, Baga, CAlangute or Panjim

Hope this review helps

Room Tip: Please do not stay here, be warned if you do
