“Experience the tranquility of Anjuna with Orange house”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 8, 2015

The orange house is situated in a quiet and serene locality of Anjuna, a few minutes drive from the busy Baga.
The Inn /guest house is as it's name suggests, orange in color. We were directed by Google to the older part of the establishment, only to find that we were going to occupy it's newer building tucked further into the area.
Vinitha, the friendly and sweet owner & caretaker was there to greet us and answer all our queries about where to find food and hiring transportation.
The rooms were lovely and new, and we enjoyed the little balcony overlooking a tiny field of coconut trees. It has all the amenities a short stay requires including a split ac, mini lcd TV, 24x7 hot water, full size fridge and double beds. The only downside were thin blankets, poor WiFi signal, and no cupboards. But those were tiny niggles quickly forgotten hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhghhhhhhhhhhghhhhhhhhyyin our otherwise wonderful stay at the Orange House.
On our way back home, we agreed that when we were revisiting Anjuna, we wouldn't go anywhere else but Orange house.

Had stayed in the old orange house as we had booked only for one day.. place is awesome orchad house is just oppostie to the orange house and you could buy anything from this super super market.. beer wiskey rum water fruits cakes etc etc try carrot cake and green apples fresh in class.
travel to vagator, anjuna, siolim , within 10 to 15 mintues on bike.. mapusa is 25 min drive..
joylin wife was a friendly meet and girl swapna and her mother were the caretakers and kept the room neat and clean.

no breakfast no lunch no dinner only water will be served.
blankets and bedsheets are washed and ironed.
beds are wodden and mattress used is medium firm for a good sleep.

i give high five for this hotel.. just a long stay with 690 rs per day was a awesome deal from goibibo gosf65% off..

Room Tip: any room from the new orange house and expect 102 from the old orange house.

we planned an impromptu trip to goa and that to in the month of december . unsure if we could find a place to crash, we decided to google and land up in first hotel which would take us in . being girls we were asked to stay away from anjuna but we ended up staying in anjuna. and quite a trip it was. the rooms are decent and with with good ambience. the staff is courteous and helpful.we also got bike on rent 300 per day. overall experience was very good.

I’ve decided to rent out this place only whenever I would visit North Goa. Situated in Anjuna, this place offers Twin/Single rooms along with B/H/K apartments which in my opinion are in lovely shape along with great service. Well, you might not find professional hoteliers there but a warm Goan-couple to host you who are really sweet & friendly. Jordan(the owner) would not even charge us for a glass I broke. Plus, the home-y feel one gets at this place is just incredible and irreplaceable with any other hotel. They offer a really awesome B/H/K apartment which is fully furnished with a couch, sofa, twin bed, TV,books, refrigerator, gas cylinder, stove, cutlery, dining table, folding bed & what-not that too at the cheapest prices. No, I’m not branding them. They’ll host you so,warmly, that you too won’t be able to just take your mid off it!

Room Tip: Choose B/H/K.

Got good review here on TripAdvisor..I booked a room from 16th to 18th Jan. check in was smooth.Room was very good compare to price. Staff Elizabeth was super cool genuine and highly supportive. she arranged bikes immediately. she arranged a cab immediately when we wanted to leave. and all on genuine prices and good service.
Its located at center location where you can easily access calangute/baga/vagator and Anjuna. There is super market near to hotel called "Orchid" you can get any kind of stuff out there.
overall i would recommend if you are looking for Budget stay with neat clean room to stay and good sleep just book this hotel at amazing price.

Room Tip: get any room will be good.

We stayed in this hotel for four weeks and absolutely loved it. We were only due to stay for 3 days, but when we got here, it was so nice and such a bargain, we just had to stay.

Pros

-Orchard Stores is just at the end of the road and sells absolutely everything you could ever want, but beware as they sometimes try and add a few rupees onto your items or not give you the correct change.
-it's got loads of great food places nearby. Tintin is the best place by far in the near vicinity, and there's also a chicken place that's nice for takeaways.
-the rooms are really great, spacious and airy with a brilliant balcony. You get a fridge, a TV with English channels, hot water, nails to hang mosquito nets from and a really comfy bed. The rooms are also cleaned as and when you ask for it.
-the two women downstairs are lovely who look after the upkeep of the place. Really kind and friendly.
-the beach is a five minute moped ride/twenty minute walk away. It's a nice walk and didn't seem that far away at all.

Cons

-we weren't able to receive wifi in the room which was a bit of a pain, so had to go downstairs each time we wanted to send a message or email.
- we began by paying 800rupees a night for two of us. Over Christmas, this went up to 1200 which we could understand. However, for our last week, the price went up to 2500 rupees, more than three times what we were originally paying. We agreed to pay as we were both really happy here, but got really annoyed when on one of our final days, we found out they were flogging other similar rooms at 900rupees on another website. We didn't think this was fair at all and on asking why we were paying 1600 rupees more than other guests, we were told it was "clearly a mistake on the website's part" which neither of us really believed. We were left disappointed and with a slightly bitter taste in our mouths after that.
- The male owner of the place is fairly sexist when it comes to communicating with women, talking to the male travellers more than the female ones. (just as a quick warning for women travelling on their own)
- there's a fairly rabid dog you need to watch out for. In the four weeks we were there, we witnessed it bite three people, and attempt to bite others as well. It usually bit the people who fed it as well, which is ironic.

All in all, the place is really lovely. A much higher quality than most other hostels in the area and for half the price. It's clean, in a convenient location and overall a nice place. It doesn't get 5* due to the payment issue in the last week, but other than that, this place is perfect...for the money. At 800 it's great, but at 2500 the faults aren't as forgivable.

First of all i would like to begin my review by saying that GOA is one of my favourite places to vist and chill and unwind.and by staying at the Orange House my journey with my friend was even more relaxing, enjoyable and truly memorable.the owners and staff of this lovely guest house are extremely nice, polite and helping.we carried our own packed foods and we were even provided with a frying pan, plates, spoons and fresh filtered water everyday..
in any other hotel u have to purchase water and spend money but here they take care of your water needs and cleaning rooms everyday. we were given a room with a balcony view.balcony was huge and we sat there in the mornings and soaking in the cold goan air.u have 24 hours hot and cold water supply and two wheeler is also available on rent at a reasonable price.
just 2 mins walking distance u have the really lovely and nice tibetian restaurant CALLED TINTIN.we went there every morning to have masala chai. and the staff over there is friendly and food quality is good and filling.DO TRY THE HASH BROWN POTATOES WITH VEG CHOWMEIN..ITS YUMMY..
just outisde orange house is a beautiful church.right across the church is also a gelatos icecream shop and a nice little joint where u can eat tasty veg and non veg snacks.u also have orchard stores which is a cosy, upmarket supermarket where u can shop for anything and is frequented by locals and foreigners alike.ANJUNA beach is just five mins on bike from orange house,.ROOMS in ORANGE HOUSE are huge, beds are spacious and u also have a big cupboard,tv and small fridge in the room.
overall very nice and i would recommend it to anyone who wants to visit goa on a budget trip without compromising on quality.... ORANGE HOUSE IS TRULY FANTASTIC!!!
