“Ok for budget stay with friends”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 24, 2013

Traveled with friends and needed the hotel only to sleep over. Rooms are ok, not that great - they're not "spotless clean". We stayed during the off-season and maybe that explained the drained swimming pool. the little space of green landscape they have is nice and picturesque. Average food, the staff were polite. the Vagator beach is about 20 minutes walk - one which we enjoyed walking. if you don't have your own conveyance it can be a bit tricky to find local transport from this location. we got lost trying to reach the location. the rates are good for what they offer.

This is a place my brother recommended for quick visits when you don't wanna spend too much on the living. A decent budget hotel near Vagator beach, away from the Hustle Bustle but near enough to go around the beautiful beaches of upper North Goa and also towards Baga/Candolim. The rooms, pool and area was clean however, the only drawback was mosquitos. There were loads I guess because of the greenery around. They should have mosquito repellents in the rooms as the coil doesnt help.

Food was good and so was the staff. Overall a decent experience and good enough place for a short visit unless someone is looking for something luxurious.

Room Tip: The Rooms with an additional bed 2+1 are new and clean and one should choose those for staying.

We found this hotel during a recent visit to Goa. We didn't stay there, but just had breakfast. Initially from a distance the main building looked quite impressive, however when getting closer it looked quite tired, which was a shame. The toilet facilities also left a lot to be desired. The breakfast was also very basic, not well presented and did take a long time to arrive.

We are always looking for hotels for friends to stay, sadly this won't be one of them.

its pool is awesome .rooms were clean ,i stayed in luxury/bigger room which is good (I will prefer select that room only).
Food is cheap and good(indian food).
Only one thing i didn't liked about this hotel is room service ,they don't have working phone in room so you need to go to reception to get something in the room..

if you have don't have higher budget then i will prefer go for it.
its value for money

right the staff are useless , the rooms are okay but way overpriced and they steal from guests

what they need is a western management to make this place good , instead the staff blatantly dont care , also check you tabs as they add stuff to it

So the Lotus is a little bit of Paradise tucked away in the back side of Anjuana / Chapora. Hidden away is one of the most beautiful pools and Gardens you'll find this side of a very expensive resort. The rooms are beautifully decorated in a traditional style and are comfortable. they are however a little run down now and could do with a refurb as could the electric and televisons. Nothing is dangerous just starting to get a little rusty and flaky. More importantly their are no phones or Internet in the rooms yet. A service which is essential for what I call a Garden Hotel and I think Internet should come at their prices.
The staff are not particularly unhelpful just overworked and under resourced. As is the kitchen which sadily has a poor menu. On the plus side the bar is very well stocked! Most of the problems stem from a well known ownership problem. Asyhu and Jenny the management are always very helpful and easy to deal with.
If you have kids and want a beautifully safe garden and pool for them to run around in then I would not hesitate to recommend it. If you need or want quick efficent service and good food sorry you will be frustrated.

Wouldn't recomend to stay in this hotel specially not with the prices they charge for a room.
Been staying here twice with my partner. The first time was not too bad. Except moving from room to room since they didn't have the room we wanted free. This was not due to any mix up at the hotel. But our own fault for not booking the right room from the start. So all in all i stayed at least one night in each of the rooms they got.
If to stay at this hotel, go for the garden room located at the back of the hotel. since it is further away from the bar.
this hotel is ok during off peak season.
The reasons for not going back to this hotel is many but here's a few
Hotel owners dogs barking all night just outside our room, Kids throwing themselfes of the little bridge in the pool with out any parental guidance, music being played extreamly loud(would not be turned down on request)
Dirty rooms, bathroom disgusting. Found afrog on my make up bag one morning. Owner of the hotel does not seem to care how the place is runned. The only thing i can say as a possitive is some of the staff Jennifer is very nice and friendly and i think she would be one of the few possitives about this hotel.
