“Really, really great hotel!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 22, 2008

Was here on business for two nights in March. I sometimes stay at Embassy Suites because of great breakfasts and spacious rooms. This hotel did not disappoint. It is relatively new and is even better looking than the pictures on the travel websites. Super, super clean. Granite counter in spacious bathroom, great comfy bed, quiet, extensive breakfast selections, great service, and big room. I loved having dinner at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse and several people commented on the great open reception at 5-7 pm. The restaurant, by the way, has amazing service. Good atmosphere all around and no need for valet--self parking available. Hotel is in good location for walking around downtown. You will love staying at this hotel. I would consider going back here with my husband for a getaway weekend and discover more of Huntsville's quiet charm.

The staff was excellent; the room was immaculate; the view was awesome; Ruth Chris was phenomenal.
The breakfast buffet was quite good!
We were able to walk to the Civic Center and to the Museum of Art -

only one nit - there were multiple Christmas parties at the hotel (plus a college graduation in town that weekend) and we had to park off the property (after circling the parking lot a couple of times). I hated being charged for parking - and then not being able to park on the property when they have the ability to restrict the parking garage to registered guests.

All in all, a memorable weekend, and the Embassy Suites Hotel played a special part in it.

I loved this hotel. When you arrive, you see this beautiful hotel with a small water canal and bridge. Parking was pretty easy either outdoors or inside the parking garage. The lobby was very awesome with three or four glassed elevators that quickly whisk you to your floor. Check-in was speedy and the desk clerk was awesome. The suites are really nice and equipped with flat panel TV's, spacious living/sitting area, and nice beds. The pool and exercise area is nice. Also, the hotel has a walkway that directly connects it to the Von Braun Civic Center next door, which makes it perfect for events at the center. Check-out was smooth, too. The only problem I have with this hotel is charging guests $9.95/day for access to the internet (connected or wireless), otherwise I would have rated this hotel as Excellent.

Not able to find a discount on the web, but worth the price,
First, the best location downtown, a must if you have business
at the Civic Center. Second, the free cooked to order breakfast
each morning is rated five stars, plus.... please don't change. I
hope to return next Nov. Are all Embassy Suites this good?

This is by far the best hotel in Huntsville. When you first walk in you enter a huge lobby with fountains, Ruth's Chris Steakhouse, and business center, pool. The check in process was very quick and took about 3 minutes. The elevators are made of glass so on your way up you can see the entire lobby. When I first entered my room I was blown away. The usual suite consists of an outer living room with a kitchenette (sink, microwave fridge), plasma screen tv, sleeper sofa, and a couple of arm chairs The bathroom was wonderful and very clean. There is a back bedroom that has its own door for privacy and it consisted of 2 beds, a closet, drawers, and another plasma screen tv. The tv gets all ESPN channels, Showtime and just about everything else. The room was big enough for all five of us and room to spare. Every morning there is a huge free breakfast buffet in the lobby with everything you could want. It had a fruit and yogurt bar, a hot bar with eggs, hasbrowns, grits, oatmeal, biscuits n' gravy, waffles, pancakes, donuts and muffins. There is also a made to order omlet bar. The heated pool and hot tub were beautiful and very clean. I think the only downsides were that the wireless internet is $10 a day, and there were only 3 elevators for 10 floors so wait time was usually around 5 minutes. The staff was VERY friendly and we had no problems getting more towels and blankets. Outside there is a huge park with rivers, fountains, and many places to enjoy nature. There is also a coffee shop on the first floor named Caffienas. There is a business center on the first floor that has 2 computers that offer free internet. In the evening there is a managers reception with free alcohal and finger foods. Parking in the garage is $4 a day but it is worth it. Overall this is a beautiful hotel and I wouldn't stay anywhere else.

Staying at the Embassy Suites was truly a delightful experience. In the heart of downtown Huntsville, adjacent to the lovely Big Spring Park, the Embassy Suites stands head and shoulders above the crowd. The lobby is expansive, and check in is expedited and friendly. We found the rooms to be immaculate, and room service timely and thorough. Morning brunch was heavenly, with made to order omelets and waffles, along with fresh fruits, cereal, sausage, bacon, oatmeal, yogurt and juices. The evening complimentary cocktail was a great touch, along with a small sampling of appetizers/raw veggies.
No matter how great the facilities, the wow factor in any hotel stay is always the people and the service. Embassy Suites must treat their employees well, for everyone truly seemed happy to work there. We enjoyed meeting Cadillac, the shoe shine man who greeted us cheerily every morning, and Karen, who masterfully prepared our omelets and chatted to us like we were best friends, and the sweet young gals who would clear our breakfast dishes with a genuine smile. When my daughter and I left, we felt sad, as if we were leaving friends after 4 days at the hotel. My hat is off to the management for hiring such exceptional, friendly, service-oriented people.
The downtown area is clean and renovated, with historic buildings and great dining establishments within walking distance from the hotel. We liked Chef's Green for an upscale and tasty lunch. The park is right out the back door of the hotel, very well lit at night for an evening stroll, or a great place for a morning walk.
All in all, a great stay. We hope to go back.
