This hotel is brand new and very nice. The rooms and the property could not be in better shape since it is only a couple of months old. The fitness center was quite spacious and the machines were also new and nice. There are still some kinks they need to work out, however, mainly surrounding service.
For example, when I arrived at the hotel, there was no one at the front desk for check-in. I waited for about 10 minutes before someone finally showed up. Other [cleaning] employees were walking around during this time, but never acknowledged me or hinted that they might try to go find someone to help me. Eventually an employee came, but he did not apologize for the wait (and he did not welcome me as a Diamond member). When I got to my room, I realized that I had not received my bottle of water and snack to which I'm entitled as a Diamond member. When I went back downstairs, again there was no one at the front desk. I waited about 3-5 minutes until the same man showed up. Again, no apology. I told him that I didn't receive my bottle of water and snack, and he said he would have to check into that. He pulled up the computer, which I assume was to make sure I wasn't lying. I realize they can't just hand out free drinks to anyone who wants them, but it made me feel like he was questioning my integrity. It was his own fault for not doing this when he checked me in the first time, so don't make someone wait because of a mistake that you made. And when you do make a mistake, apologize.. I'm not sure "sorry" was in this man's vocabulary.
One other thing - the bathroom has built-in shampoo and body wash dispensers on the shower wall. This is a nice feature until you realize halfway through your shower that the body wash dispenser is empty. You may want to bring your own toiletries to avoid these problems as it can be slightly frustrating. (I saw another reviewer suggest to bring conditioner since they don't have that.)
The morning employees were lovely and I enjoyed the breakfast. It's certainly a different kind of breakfast, but I thought it was a nice change of scenery from your typical Hilton property breakfasts.
This hotel is a great property and definitely a good value. I would still stay here again as the less-than-stellar service didn't cause any real problems for me. I'm sure their service can and will improve up to the Hilton standard.
