“Beyond Expectations”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 4, 2014

The museum was a bit hard to find as it was a little way off Airport Road in a non-descript building; however, for history buffs and those who served or had family members who served in the military, this is a great find. There are more military items than you'd expect from the size of the place, and every war and non-war time period of history are well represented. There are military helicopters, tanks, and jeeps of all sizes and sorts. There are uniforms and items from service members, many of which were items I had not seen prior. The representatives of the museum are passionate about their service and their work at the museum, and they are a wealth of knowledge and friendly. The admission price was just $5 for adults and the museum is non-profit. My husband spent 20 years in the Army, and he was truly happy to have seen the items in this place and the good that has been done to preserve and honor the items. Worth visiting for sure, if you have a place in your heart for the military.

“Wonderful place of history and knowledge”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 25, 2013

Well worth the extra time to find this museum. Anyone remotely interested in our military and its history; anyone who has served in any branch of the armed forces; anyone thinking about it, will find this a wonderful place to visit. Staff is friendly and the amount of items in this museum will blow your mind. My 7 & 8 yr old grandchildren have been here several times and are always pleased; it's hard to get them out...

“A hidden jewel of military history”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 25, 2013

This out of the way attraction is privately funded. A dedicated staff of volunteers have restored an outstanding collection of military vehicles going back to the First World War. This is a must see for military history buffs who visit North Alabama.

“A Must See!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 23, 2013

What a treasure. I am so glad that we took the time to walk through this fantastic collection of military vehicles, guns, and memorabilia. I couldn't believe the rare artifacts that are right here in Huntsville! It's a short visit, and there are friendly volunteers to give you a tour if needed. Don't miss it!!!!!

“War Machines”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 11, 2013

Veterans Day, 11 November 2013. We saw representatives from the Museum in the Huntsville Veterans Day Parade and decided to visit when the parade was over. Fortunately for us, admission was free in honor of Veterans Day. In and around the building you will find war history artifacts that capture the attention of young and old alike. I don't know if they are always there but costumed gentlemen provided tidbits of historic information to museum goers during our stay. I think this place needs to expand, they have so much history they are busting at the seems. I'd like to see more representation of today's wars but they simply don't have the space. They are going to need more visitors paying admission and donations from those of us that understand the value of preserving and sharing war artifacts.
