This was by far the absolute worst hotel stay my family has ever encountered! The carpet in our room was filthy and had what appeared to be burn spots from an iron, and also a big strip across the carpet where a tac strip was laid and then carpet just laid over it and when you walked across that area, it stuck in your heels. OUCH!!! the ice machines were broken, you had to get ice from the front desk. The shower was awful. you had to turn the knob so far to hot and scald yourself just to have enough of a trickle of water to rinse the soap off. there is not even a pad of paper and a pen in these rooms, how cheap can you be?microwave looks like its on its last leg. our friends room a/c unit did not cool, even after someone coming in and saying they fixed it. the swimming area is inside, but is so hot in there, it is miserable. they do not like to turn on the air in the hallways either. some of the housekeeping ladies were extremely rude. the bedding was stained and nasty, although the only good thing i can say is the bed was comfortable. their so called internet access was non existant the whole stay. breakfast was a joke. dont bother getting up before 9am to go down for spoiled milk and cherrios. When checking out, we were told system was down and did not receive a receipt so we have no idea what we will be charged. Probably going to have to dispute that bill. Manager expected me to walk out the door without anything showing the nightly rate I was supposed to pay even though she had it on paper with my initials next to it and refused to give me a copy. She is very unprofessional in dealing with guest and their concerns. Who is going to walk out of a hotel that has all their credit card information and not know what they are going to be charged???? Why dont I just post all my credit card numbers on the internet for anyone to use?
Another group traveling with us had to argue with manager regarding their nightly rates also.
This hotel is privately owned and obviously the owner has better things to do than make sure that his properties are run the way they should be, and when I expressed my concerns to him directly, he was rude and sarcastic and could care less. In a later conversation with the oh so unprofessional manager, she explained that she would rather deal with guest problems than for the owner because she realizes he does come across that way. Hmmmm. Wonder if he knows she feels this way??
To sum it up, run dont walk, to any other hotel you can find. you will regret the aggrivation you will endure!
