I read a lot of reviews before we left for this vacation, so I had a pretty good understanding of what we would find. I must say the reviews were pretty accurate.
First things first - the music from The Hangout. We were in unit #301, on the end by the Hangout and directly over the Pink Pony Pub. We could sit on our balcony and enjoy the live music from the main stage at the Hangout. We could also walk across the parking lot and hang out at the Hangout. We thoroughly enjoyed both!!
We didn't use the pool area, but the reviews accurately described it as long and narrow with limited seating area around it. The room is a suite that is very much like a small 1-bedroom condo at other Phoenix buildings that we have stayed in. The bedroom is only slightly larger than the king-sized bed, but there is plenty of room in the living area/kitchen of the suite. The kitchen was well furnished for anyone who would prefer to cook. We preferred to walk to one of the many nearby restaurants for dinner, which is so convenient.
The chairs and umbrellas are on the public beach and not associated with the hotel, as they are at the condo buildings in the area. They are single-day rental with no multi-day deals. I saw a complaint about this in another review, so it was expected.
With just the two of us, the bunk beds only held my computer case (which was never opened over the course of 4 days!!).
The service is a bit of a hybrid between condo and hotel. They freshen up towels every day, but they only clean every 3 days or so. The room was clean when we arrived and we didn't have any issues with the cleaning service.
The elevators are slow as often reported in the reviews. There are two levels of parking. The first floor rooms are two levels up from the ground floor. We parked on the upper parking level and used the stairs when we didn't have luggage.
If you are looking for a tranquil beach vacation on a somewhat quiet beach, or if you plan to hang out by the pool sunning while the kids enjoy the pool, then this may not be the place for you.
If you enjoy the nightlife, nearby restaurants, a sunny but active beach, sitting on the balcony listening to the waves and the music next door, then Phoenix All-Suites is perfect! This was our plan for this stay and we absolutely loved it.
