The good places to eat in Gulf Shores are the ones that are small and rustic. For someone that travels allot, I know that 9 outa 10 times, the busy ones, are the best ones. I also know that sometimes until the lunch and dinner rushes die down, some of these places barely have time to pick up and can get a little dirty. Comes with the territory.
We got back to my hometown yesterday and just read a couple of reviews below. All 8 of us completely disagree with the negative ninnies below. If you don't like crowds, and want gourmet food, or if you have picky teens that will only eat Chicken Nuggets or Burgers, why on earth would you come to Gulf Shores and go to a local Seafood joint? Derrrrrr.
The men in our group spent the week eating Shrimp Po Boys from all over town and can unanimously say that this is the 2nd Best Shrimp Po Boy in town. Get it Overloaded with Ranch and Wing Sauce on the side . . . killer! The ladies enjoyed their meals as well. Good place to go.
The #1 Shrimp Po Boy in town is at a Bar called the Flying Harpoon. (Note: The Harpoon is a Bar with a couple tables - not really a family place.)
