Only been once and it was very good

My group of 7 ate at DeSoto's at the beginning of August 2007. The food was fabulous from start to finish. We all ordered something different and everyone was very happy with their selections. I had the stuffed shrimp with a salad and a side of sweet potato casserole. The shrimp was fresh and the crab stuffing was excellent. The sweet potato casserole was a welcomed change from the normal fries or baked potato. The staff was very friendly, helpful, and attentive, even as they became busy. It is located behind the big shark souvenir shop close to the beach and main drag. It may not look fancy on the outside and a little dated on the inside, but don't let that fool you! The food will impress you!

I thought the food was bland , not just the seafood but the chicken was tasteless also. The wait is truly out of line for the quality of food.

We were there the last week of June. It is overrated and pricey. The mango salsa that came with the Caribbean grouper came straight from a can, not fresh. We were told the wait would be 45 minutes and it was 90. I suggest going down to Big O's.
