My wife and I ate here on a Thursday evening in the off season and the place was very busy. Had about a 15 minute wait, were seated and the waitress appeared quickly to take our drink order. For our dinner, I chose the chicken parmesan, my wife the manicotti. The meals came with an endless salad bowl with a tasty Italian dressing, along with some exceptional dinner rolls. As for the chicken parmesan, the chicken was pounded thin, lightly breaded and covered by a delicious sauce and cheese. It was a large portion, but there was no stopping until it was finished. The small side of spaghetti was more than enough of a compliment to the meal.
My wife's manicotti was very good as she, too, left nothing on her plate. The cheese filling was flavorful and the sauce not too spicy. She felt it was comparable to the wonderful manicotti I make at home. Huh?
With regard to the service, the waitress was not particularly friendly or outgoing, but she did a fine job of taking care of the table, making sure that we had everything we needed and that the meal was satisfactory. Overall, I recommend Franco's and will eat here again on our next trip.
