“Great Addition to the Town”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 7, 2012

Because we spend several weeks here throughout the year, we enjoy finding new restaurants that are worth the effort to leave the beach house. This new California Mexican restaurant is on of those. The decor is fresh and vibrant and not the same old tired Old Mexico theme. The menu is good and not overly done. The staff was prompt and courteous. The food was excellent and some of the best Huevos Ranchero I'v tasted. The location is very convenient to other quality restaurants, good shopping , book stores, coffee houses, grocery stores and a large movie complex; all within walkng distance. Welcome to Gulf Shores!

“Eating Mexican Food East of the Mississippi River is risky”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed September 5, 2012

We have recently moved to this area - originally from Texas. We read the previous reviews - especially those from Texas - and thought it would be worth a try. Wrong! This was probably the worst "food experience" we have had in this area (which includes other Mexican food restaurants). Yep, I've been to California, too. If you spend this kind of money for Mexican food, it should be something to remember, not something to forget. Stick with the thought "never eat Mexican Food east of the Mississippi River".

“Great Mexican!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 5, 2012

We drove 30 minutes to eat here and would do it again in a heartbeat. Had visited a Pensacola location a couple of times and are so happy to have this one closer. The service was very good and everything we tried was excellent. We got there early on a Friday and were seated pretty quickly, but by the time we came out there was quite a wait.

“Love”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 2, 2012 via mobile

Our family loves this place. It's a smaller place with great service. Try the frozen margarita. They make them with lime sherbert and it is amazing! You will fill up on the delious made to order guacamole like we did if you don't be careful. The quesadilla was great with the fajita chicken. Our server Paul was great!

“Pricey”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 2, 2012

Mexican food reminiscent of California cuisine but without the spark. It was a bit pricey, but the service was good. It's convenient to the movie theater but unfortunately wasn't open when we were planning "dinner and a movie"....no problem, we just went across the parking lot to Elli Bistro
