“Lots of fun...pretty good food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 25, 2012 via mobile

Large family group went here on a Friday night. Live music outside with lots of activities for kids. DJ of sorts inside doing games and dances inside. Our kids (2 & 5) had a blast! Food was pretty good. I had a burger: 2 patties was too much meat and they were overlooked. Wife loved her baked stuffed oysters. Spinach artichoke dip was above average. Drinks were overpriced but good. We'll definitely be back!

“We got lucky with a great bartender”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 21, 2012

We went into the restaurant and looked at the menu and laughed at the prices. They brought my 9 dollar specialty drink in a plastic cup! Give me a break.
The band and outside areas are pretty unique and we found a cool bartender who set us up wtih some great drinks at the back bar. He was a lot of fun.
Drinks are expensive, food is ridiculously expensive when just a few blocks away is Pappa Roccos! go there to eat for sure! Come back and jam out with the band and hang out.

“Atmosphere only,..”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed November 19, 2012

Everyone back home visits this place when visiting Gulf Shores. The food was cold and not really that good for the price. Very disappointed. Four people eating and we were all unhappy with our food. The place looks fun and we did get some cute pictures, but we are seriously trying to think what we can order next time that will not cost much and taste decent. Seriously!!!

“Good view, great atmosphere, average dining”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 16, 2012

It is nice to have dining on the beach in Gulf Shores, but one trip to the Hangout was enough for us. The food was good but not memorable. It is right on the beach so you may enjoy it. There are many other restaurants that I would go to if I had a limited time at the beach.
