“Pleasant”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 16, 2014 via mobile

We stayed three nights and were pleased with the service, breakfast, and kindness. We dealt mostly with the manager, Dennis, and our housekeeper, Ruth, both of whom were very pleasant and accommodating.

Stayed for two nights on 11/10/13 & 11/12/13. Hotel was very clean and grounds well maintained. Room with two queen beds, very clean, even with extra pillows. Room came equipped with microwave, refrigerator, and coffee brewer. Front staff was very courteous and friendly and check in was a breeze. Continental breakfast was pretty good with waffles, scrambled eggs and sausage links. plus cereals, fruit, and yogart. Also had several kinds of pastries. Breakfast area very clean and attendant very friendly. Stay was very comforting and hotel was right across from shopping mall, attractions, and numerous resturaunts, including Lambert's, "Home of the throwed roll." Short drive to beach. Would stay here again on next visit to Gulf Shores area. Price per night was also very reasonable. Much cheaper than in staying in Gulf Shores itself.

We stop to make a reservation but ended up being able to check right in. Dropped off our luggage then drove south to Gulf Shores. We'd researched motels ahead of time and like many others, discovered that rates in Foley were quite a bit lower. Staying in Foley worked out just fine. Close enough to get to the beach easily, across from a huge outlet mall and plenty of choice for meals. We were pleased with our stay.

We stayed here for the night before heading to orange beach and the rooms were much, much better than expected. It dedefinitely appeared they did some renovations recently and it was a fantastic room. The rooms were nice and spacious and the television was huge. You really can't get better value for a room for what we paid given how much other hotels were charging. We will be back.

Family of 4 stayed one night. Got in at 11PM with no reservations on a weeknight. No trouble getting a room. Room was clean and ready with AC on and cool. Friendly front desk, area seemed safe. Didnt use pool but it looked nice. No frills, but would stay again.

After leaving Travelodge within less than an hour of checking in due to no AC, no helpful staff, bed bugs, dirty microwave, no working phone and clock, etc, we were ready to relax. Blonde girl at the front was super nice booking me over the phone and so sweet and accommodating in person. Our AC was the first thing we noticed when we got to the room, it actually worked! Beds were big, nice, and comfy. Granite countertops, microwave, fridge, new carpet, flat screen swivel TV, office desk, and chair with ottoman were nice touches. Pool and hot tub were always clean. Courtyard was beautiful. Guest laundry worked great. Breakfast was incomparable: biscuits, gravy, scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, sausages, yogurt, fruit, cereal, juices, and waffles were out of this world, and it was complimentary of course. Staff was always friendly and helpful. Business center was very nice and fast. Gym was great. I even signed up for Choice Privileges, although we frequent another brand quite often. Free wifi worked great. We had a room right by the pool. Nail salon and Waffle House next door were nice. Tanger is directly across the street. $25 one time pet fee was a nice treat. That rate is unheard of. We got our room, with military discount, for about $64 per night and it was so worth it. We normally stay at a beachfront condo, but we will definitely be staying here again. 10 minute drive from the beach.

Room Tip: Poolside room on 1st floor isn't loud. Right by ice machines, vending, and gym.

We stayed here for 6 nights with 3 different reservations. I had points to use so I used them for the most expensive nights and then paid for the other nights. Because of this they were going to move me from room to room but when I offered to give up my suite for the point stay nights we were able to stay in the same room all 6 nights. It took some maneuvering by the front desk but they worked it out. The room was OK nothing special and the breakfast is boring not much choice but it is close to the beach and right across the road from the Tanger Outlet. Over all not a bad place but I doubt that I will stay there again.
