“Holiday Isle 303. Just like home but a better view of the ocean”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 26, 2013 via mobile

This was our first stay on the island. We used ACP reality for booking and will continue to use them for years to come. Very friendly and knowledgable about things to do and information for your trip. The room was comfortable, great view of the ocean. We used the grills downstairs by the pool area twice. The only problem we had with this condo was the king bed was not very comfortable. It creaked and made noise with every move either of us made. May just need maintenance or replaced.
Great kitchen appliances and we found everything we needed for basic cooking. I would suggest bringing your own cutting knives and larger skillets if you plan to cook a lot which we did due to fresh seafood on the island. Cant wait till June we are coming back! !
Worst part of the trip: Leaving!!

This is my second visit to Dauphin Island and my second visit to Holiday Isle. My family loves this condo complex. We were even more surprised with the wonderful accommodations with Condo #608. it is well appointed and perfectly stocked. One of the nicer condos I have rented over the years. My teenage daughter commented on how much she likes it because it feels like home. You can't beat the beauty and privacy of Dauphin Island. I am constantly recommending it to friends.

Our condo owner, Julie, made our vacation top notch. We used a 'by owner" website . She was so easy to work with and answered our multitude of questions (it was our first visit) patiently and thoroughly. The condo was decorated beautifully and had all the upscale amenities for a restful stay. Very well stocked! The complex is well taken care of and we loved the pools, sauna, fitness center and especially the beach. We grilled out on the large grills by the pool and enjoyed an adult beverage while gazing at the beach and watching the kids playing in the pool. Our condo was very well located on the second floor with front door covered parking and far enough away from the outside pool to enjoy the quiet from the balcony. We spent a lot of time on the balcony because it is so large and had great views up and down the beach. The sand is very, very clean at the beach. Dauphin Island is uncrowded so our kids enjoyed biking the island. There is a great bird sanctuary to visit and the bike trails go everywhere. Sea Lab, the Fort and the ferry ride were awesome. We saw dolphins while on the Ferry ride. The Ferry travels across the mouth of the Mobile Bay to another Fort on the other side and then we drove to Gulf Shores for the outlet mall. What a change from peaceful Dauphin Island to the commercial Gulf Shores, AL. We will return to Dauphin Island again and again for our summers.

Room Tip: our second floor room was perfect. floors 3-7 have to use third floor level uncovered parking deck...

After months of anticipation for our Independence Day vacation, we arrive to find out the 4th floor condo we spent months paying for was changed abruptly. We did not receive a phone call from anyone explaining this. Although the condo we were given was beautiful, it was on the 1st floor, in the corner of the complex...ugh! Hardly NO view of the ocean. Why else would you spend extra money for a condo with an ocean view? Regardless of how nice and spacious our condo was, because of the way the situation was handled, I will not be returning.

Room Tip: Beware-you may not get the room you pay for. My advice: Don't pre-pay.

I had to post again after I saw the last review. We just stayed here for the 3rd time in 3 years, June 11-14, 2012. I had read the last post right before I visited so I was wondering if the beach would be dirty this time. It was not. Maybe they arrived right after some particularly sloppy people. I counted 12 trash cans on the public beach next to the condos. I saw the usual bits and pieces of trash here and there, but nothing significant. They had some big storms and flooding in the days before we arrrived, so we did see some pieces of wood and such that looked like it had washed up. If you like collecting driftwood, you will love it. We have now stayed in 3 different condos, and each one has been just perfect.

Room Tip: Every condo I have stayed in has been great.

These are beautiful condos, so well appointed and wonderful views. Unfortunately the beach is filthy and there seems to be very little done to clean it. There were no trash cans on the condo beaches at all and it seemed as if the public beach users could not find the ones there. Some piles of trash were on the beach for the entire week we were there. What saves this resort is the beautiful views and wonderful roomy patios. We probably will not return to Dauphin Island.

Already dreaming of when I can get back here. We have stayed here twice in 2 different condos. Both were great. We rented one directly through Holiday Isle and the other a rent by owner website. Clean, up to date condos with all the amenities. You are getting the luxury resort experience at a much cheaper price b/c Dauphin Island is not as trendy as other places such as Destin or Gulf Shores. We live in Baton Rouge and can get here so much quicker. The beach and water are lovely too. This place is never crowded like other resorts and beaches. No, there are no outlet shops or mini golf courses. There is an old golf course on the island if you really want to play, but it is kind of run down. We are there for the beach and the pool is nice too if you want to jump in on the way back up to your condo. One tip: there are few restaurants, so plan on cooking most of your meals in the condo. There is only a very small grocery store and a couple of convenience stores, so bring dry goods with you, (fruits and veggie selection is not good here). You can pick up milk, egss, butter, etc..at the small grocery store. Bring your books, magazines, games and get ready to relax! Yes, there was wi fi in the condo for those of you who can't get by without checking your email.
