“Went against better judgement”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed June 12, 2013

Let me start out by saying the management and staff were very friendly and didn't miss a beat when we said we could not stay there less than an hour after checking in. They did reverse our charges. I am not sure if there is a difference in rooms on the first or second floor, but the room on first floor was awful. There was noticeable water damage in several areas of the room. It didn't appear to have been vacuumed well, there was visible mold/mildew through out the bathroom and sink area. Urine and hair on toilet and just overall unclean. I checked the sheets on the beds and they had debris in them and what appeared to be blood on one of the pillow cases. Fixtures through out room were grimy. It is definitely a case of serious neglect in housekeeping.

I travel to Fort Rucker and stay in this hotel about four times each year. The main reason that I chose the Econo lodge is price and location. You can get a decent room with a kitchen for $50-60 which includes free internet (cable or wireless). The location is just outside the Daleville gate which keeps me the close to Fort Rucker. As far as the rooms, they are severely outdated, including the bathrooms, TVs, furniture and curtains. During my last two stays, I had difficulty with getting my room serviced. On the last trip, there were no more than 4-5 rooms occupied and it seemed like it was trouble for the maids to find time to service the room. At a minimum, I was gone from 9am until 3pm and the room had not been serviced. Like the previous person stated, the TVs are outdated, but the internet service is good. Only trouble with the service is that you have to reconnect a couple of times each day which can be annoying none the less. Don’t ask me why, but I will continue to use the Daleville Econo Lodge mainly because of cost and location.

The check in to this hotel was quick and easy. The front desk clerk was helpful. Our room was right across from the small outdoor pool. The pictures they show do not show the pool very good. The room had a small one cup coffee maker, microwave & fridge, and an older TV but it worked just fine. The beds were comfortable, but need more pillows. The room was nice & clean which surprised me because most Econo lodges i have stayed at are really below standards. The bathroom was clean too, the shower needs replacing as the water pressure is very low. The breakfast is the normal Continental breakfast. Nothing to write about. The pool was dirty and needs a good cleaning, had alot of bugs in it, but that is to be expected from an outdoor pool i guess. Our overall stay was good, but i was not overly impressed. Just ok for the price. Could have been better, but from reading other reviews for other hotels in this area econo lodge was the best. I hate to see what the other hotels are like, this is ok if you just want to lie your head somewhere.

The staff at this hotel was great! We were there for Bama Jam in June 2012 and the hotel was packed but that never affected the service. They were always very friendly and helpful. The pool was nice and clean although we didn't actually swim because of the amount of people there. The continental breakfast was great! They had eggs, waffles, corn dogs, bagels, cereal and sausage and biscuits, just to name a few things…way more than your typical juice and cereal continental breakfast at other chains. Our room was a little worn around the edges but very clean. Overall it was a great stay!

It is one of the only hotels in Daleville/Ft. Rucker area. It is a decent hotel for the area and the price. People are friendly as well. I actually stayed there twice and each time if something went wrong with an appliance or anything, employee's were quick to fix the issue. Def an okay place to stay if you can't stay on the base.

Stayed here because we had a graduation at Fort Rucker. This hotel is 2 miles from there. 3 of us stayed in a suite for 5 nights. Very comfortable. Bigger than I expected. Like a small apartment. (with 2 tvs and 2 sinks with vanity which is great when we are all trying to get ready) Worth the money compared to Enterprise where I stayed before. This is an older hotel, but has very friendly staff and is clean.

Because I am a runner, I was concerned about a safe place to run. There is a nice housing development behind the hotel across from the school. You can also run the sidewalks with no problem.
