Lovely stay! Lovely hosts! Loved all their traveling collections and great conversation. Breakfast was superb...went back for seconds! We'd gladly stay at any of their three rooms. Views are excellent, great setup, balconies, bbq, boat dock, etc!! Another weekend away can't get here fast enough and we'll definitely revisit Smith Lake B&B!

Absolutely loved it. Peaceful setting, very friendly owners, delicious breakfast. Private covered deck was a welcome addition. I also enjoyed the boat dock. Lots of water amenities and fishing gear, too.

Jim and Alex were such a delight! Their world travels have contributed to the best B&B hosts we have ever experienced. We talked for hours about all the people our paths had crossed. It is such a small world. We were blessed to have picked this place from all the rest.
The collection of treasures brought back from Japan made the Dock suite a unique environment for anyone to enjoy. We felt right at home with all the amenities available.
The breakfast was gourmet and plentiful. Alex did such a good job of catering to every need.
The decks and lake were incredible. The view of the sunset off the covered porch was an event to remember. Would recommend this place to everyone I know, if I didn't want to keep it just "our little secret".
We plan on visiting again as soon as possible.
Thanks again for a trip to remember.

Room Tip: Dock suite is truly amazing!!

Jim and Alex Cox made me feel completely welcome, like I was part of their family. The setting is beautiful, the conversation was delightful and the breakfast was delicious, enjoyed outside on the balcony overlooking Smith Lake.

We are B&B veterans, having lived in Europe for six years and stayed in lovely Scottish/English B&Bs, and magnificent Spanish Paradors. Alex and Jim's place on Smith Lake is a match for any we have seen, lovely rooms...great hospitality, and then there is the lake. We brought our kayaks for a dawn paddle, and even though it was quite cold at 5:30 in the morning, it was worth it for the spectacular sunrise. Alex's breakfast more than adequately compensated for the calories we expended! Her pancakes are the best we have ever had.

Room Tip: We stayed in TowNoMo, the Airstream trailer. It was quaint, which is why we chose it, but very tigh...

This home is beautiful and as others have mentioned, Alex and Jim are fantastic hosts and wonderful people! We stayed in the Dock Suite for one night and it is impeccably furnished and has all the amenities you could need. The view of the lake is amazing, especially from the sunroom in the main part of the house. Our breakfast was delicious and we enjoyed visiting with Alex and Jim. All the suites are very private and with the decks and shared spaces, it feels like your own large home. This B&B is a real find and we hope to stay again soon!

Alex and Jim are about the friendliest people you could meet. We stopped at their home near the end of a five-week road trip, and found the experience to be very relaxing. We must have talked for two hours in the evening.
The site is beautiful, right on one of the nicest, undiscovered lakes I have ever seen.
For a unique experience, stay in their Airstream trailer; Tow-no-mo. It is comfortable for two and has a nice, screened-in deck where you can enjoy your dinner. (We brought a rotisserie chicken and a bottle of win.)
Breakfast was excellent and plentiful.
we wish we could have spent a few days there enjoying the lake and all their water toys.
