Some flavors are unique, and when you’re talking about sushi, every exception is a specialty. That’s basically the philosophy of Zen. Known as one of the best restaurants in northern Recife, PE, Brazil.
Like every sushi restaurant, Zen has some dishes which will only be found in that restaurant: If you like spicy food, you could order the Urumaki Tae, which is a spicy-mustard-melted salmon sushi with cheddar. By the way, many people complain that the only cheese used in the preparation of the sushi is the original cream cheese, but if you look in Zen, there's sushi which are prepared using cheddar. There also a couple of mini-dishes, for example, the Mini Tepan Yaki, which is made of rice, shrimp (or meat), and sauté potatoes.
Zen has also a certain variety of drinks, from alcoholic to sodas. It also has a stereo background music that’s well-chosen. Zen has opened recently another restaurant that’s right across the street, in front of the old one, so if one of them is full, the other will probably have seats.
The decoration and organization of the restaurant is really good. Everything is beautiful and clean. The waiters are really efficient and the food arrives fast.
Talking about desserts, Zen has a good variety of delicious desserts, such as Ice Cream Tempurá, which is battered ice cream with teriyaki sauce. They also have a couple of more good famous desserts, like a petit gateau.
Anyway, I think is really good restaurant, and if you enjoy sushi and if you go to Recife you should visit it.
