“Lovely Place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 weeks ago

This was a lovely hide away from the world outside. The place is very clean and the staff very helpful. It is very close to the metro so easy to get around. The shopping centre is a quick shared tuk tuk down the road.

We had a truly wonderful stay at the Bodhi Tree and are already planning our return.

Owner Devdan is an author, poet and art enthusiast doing great things in the city.

We stayed in two of their rooms over 14 days and had a great experience.

Staff were extremely helpful and friendly, even when we had a problem (TV not working, solved in 5 minutes).

The property has loads of art on show, and every space is unique and beautiful.

We had two lovely dinners and lots of chai while we were there. All was great.

Bodhi Tree is an inn that also serves as a small art gallery. That is why, upon entrance, you'll find paintings and other works of art being displayed. It certainly is a welcoming sight after surviving the madness of traffic jam, crowded cars and dozens of people roaming the street, which is only 5-minute walk from the hotel.
The staff, despite their limited English, was able to help anytime. Most importantly is their help to get a cab, which is no easy task, especially in explaining to the cab drivers your destination.
The room was spacious, the amenities was simple, but enough for short stay. The bathroom is clean, and the water heater is working.

Room Tip: Wifi connection only works in dining area, which is basically a small backyard.

I was there with a friend in February. The place looks like a renovated house. The rooms were very dark and the light never seemed enough. However, the warm hospitality makes up for the not-so-good rooms.

First, the positives: hotel seems very safe as main door is kept locked at all times. The Tantryana room is indeed visually beautiful and boutique hotels such as this one have character and seem to attract interesting and broad-minded guests. Also, dinners were tasty and had generous portions. Unfortunately, though, overall service is not good. The young men mean well, but they get easily confused no matter which language is being used. Also, the walls are paper thin (beware, couples!) and this room is not well lit nor does it let in much light if you want to read, for instance. I did not see upstairs rooms but the other downstairs room looked equally dim.

Great rooms, neat, clean and a really nice feel about it.

The Bodhi Tree delivers a fantastic breakfast that will set you up for whatever you have planned for your day. A combination of Indian breakfast, toast, fresh fruit and juice and tea or coffee.

After this a short walk to the metro station to explore the city as you please...
