Park Hotel is an excellent hotel in the heart of Kolkata. Have been staying here from 21st Feb and checking out on 27th Feb. So far, the experience has been really wonderful. The service standards are world class with attentive wait staff, room service, housekeeping, etc.
Check-in at midnight was smooth and trouble-free. Complimentary driver and car was provided at the airport to whisk me through the complicated roads of Kolkata to the hotel.
The room is cosy with study table and sofa set with coffee table. Good for working and hosting an additional guest.
In-room LCD TV with cable TV connection. Unfortunately, many Indian movies on the telly and no channel guide.
Daily weddings held here so every evening, the entire lobby and 1st floor would be filled with gaily dressed guests. Very energetic environment.
Seems like many dignitaries stay here or visit events going on in the conference halls.
Bumped into former soccer manager and indian movie director (said my local hosts). Goodness knows which other VIPs come here.
All in all, a very wonderful stay made even better by the staff of the hotel. Highly recommended hotel in a busy bustling city!
