Sarovara looks great on paper and on the web but it is a decaying, filthy and smelly hole. First the rooms are not clean, and are full of insects. They even sprayed insecticide before we went to bed and we still got bitten by mosquitoes. They have mothballs in the bathroom drains, so we left the hotel with all of our clothes smelling like mothballs. It was pretty disgusting. Hot water is limited to a couple of hours in the morning. Although for $25 is a decent, well located bed in Chennai, I would stay someplace else. The only plus, is that is is walking distance from the best restaurant (Annalakshmi) and good bookstores and shopping mall.
