My husband and I had gone to Bay View Point at Taj Fisherman's cove to celebrate my birthday. We had specifically booked a table close to the sea ,a day prior to our arrival and requested candle light in our table. But one reaching the restaurant, we were whisked to a table which was far away from the sea shore. When we asked about this, he mentioned that the tables near the sea were already reserved. But as the crowd started coming in, which comprised mainly of foreigners, they were taken only to the tables close to the sea shore. In fact they had not even booked a table earlier. I felt really offended as we were given only the "far away from the sea"tables. The waiter did not even have patience to listen to my order and hurried to the table having the foreigners. The food was not all that great either. We being from middle class have to wait for special occasions to go to fancy restaurants such as this. But the treatment metted out by differentiating the indians and foreigners was so terrible that it still gives a bad memory.
