I stayed at the Residency, not the Residency Towers. Both hotels belong to the same chain with the Towers being newer and a bit more upscale than it's older cousin.
After mistakenly landing in a dump of a hotel called the Himalaya late at night arriving from the airport, I was quick to relocate the next morning. I had seen the Residency's website which looked so-so but was so desparate that I just landed on their doorstep and asked for a room. Great surprise, the standard rooms were roomy and clean, with the deluxe having the same size but more amenities such as a flat-panel TV instead of a tube plus a room safe. I believe this is the hotel which offered the most bathroom goodies of any hotel I have EVER been to including talcum, coconut oil, a shaver with cream, toothbrush with toothpaste, and more. The hotel isn't new but kept in good shape with frequent paint jobs. The marvelous buffet breakfast is included in the room price. The same restaurant also serves great buffet meals, which cost extra but are well worth the price. The room cost is very reasonable compared to what you get. I recommend this hotel.
